missing all the fun.

missing a really good hunt.

and what will be another really good second one.

I shouldnt have tried to participate, or read the threads at all....

I should have known full well that I probably wouldnt be able to do this thing, this year.

Its already been a hectic couple of years for me, away from "hunting"...

and what happened the other day at what used to be my home, makes it even worse.

I dont know what else do to/say here.

I dunno...

I gotta find a way to re-new this thing...

Even so, I dunno if I'll be around here for a while, even after that happens.

who knows.

I'm just trying to have a good time and be happy, and awesome, like people know me for....

...but, stuff f'n sucks for me, and i'm tired of the games people play, and tired of the b.s. nonsense....

Now my car won't be done until late Friday, at the earliest.

I give up. Medallion hunt? What's that? Heh, I feel so outta touch with it this year.

Lessons learned for 2007. After it snows, drive 5 miles an hour, everywhere, never know when somethings gonna jump out at your car. Next time, take the rental car option. Spend more time out in the parks before the hunts. Make sure most of December and January is prep time for the hunt, instead of trying to get everything else in life taken care of at once. Take the two weeks of vacation time for the hunt (worked for Jake this year, heh).

Yup.. I went from not taking time off for the hunt so I could cover what needed to be done here.. to working the weekend.

Seems like everything worked against me this year, the prehunt stuff, the car, the job... Dug myself into a nice hole.

Thanks for the offer. Sure wish I could, but this software install is going to take all of Friday and Saturday to do.

My idea is that when this is done, and running smoothly, in a few weeks I can take some time off. Although in a few weeks I won't have anything to do.. figures.

I might get out Sunday afternoon, if all goes well, and the medallion hasn't been found yet.

Otherwise, when all the madness is over, I'll just get back out caching again. Maybe find the NSP medallion.

Staying late tonight to fix 6000 customer files.

Why? So the MINDLESS automoton customer service reps can just click send on an order without taking a moment to fix a simple problem.

I wouldn't bother, but I get to heard it from customers and vendors that have no clue what to do with orders that don't have proper addresses on them.

Finding out that after you've spent $1600 fixing your car that the problem still isnt' fixed...and havign to spend another $800 and not knowing if it will really fix the whole problem. Also having a car that can't decide if it wants to start or not is very irritating!

I'm holding out until June so I can get the early release of the 2008 Clue Master edition. You'll be able to hit a blue button on the flip top GPS and it'll show you precisely where any medallion is within 50 miles.

going to the dealership tonight to order my new car. Wish I could be out looking instead, but transportation is important.

Then I can spend the next 5 years paying for it, heh, guess that's an irritation. Unless in one of those 5 years I find the medallion....

mine and tc's advice, kc: buy a kia or something else with a 100000 mile warranty. won't help in the event of a crash, but there aren't any service related expenses either

that and the scheduled maintenance intervals with out kia are oil every 7500 miles, air filter every 30000 miles, timing belt, fuel filter and something esle that i ahve to start thinking about every 60000 miles. cheap maintenance.

Chevy Cobalt. New for 2007, GM added a 100,000 mile warranty to the power train.

Kias don't come in orange. My brother just bought a used 2005 kia though.

thats all you need then

interesting thing about the kia warranty. the 100k only applies to the original owner. after you sell it its only good for 60k. weird.
