Matty B\'s is the home of the Cooler Crew. We\'ve got a party going on every evening from 8 until the clue is released. Sunday night, if the hunt goes that long, the bar will be open but food will not be available.

Recent Clues:

Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes

To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched

Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey

Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet
Clue #2 If you\'re thinking big you\'re sure to dig
Near flora with growing pain
Winter or summer is never a bummer
A menagerie of fun wild or tame
Clue #3 Success on the third clue will never do
We had to stash a second
Round you go if you seek to know
Where swatters of orbs are beckoned
Clue #4: A walk in the park can be a lark
If cell phones are left at home
Heed the siren of your desirin\'
And do not revolt against this poem
Clue #5 Over hill and dale hit the trail
With a handy locating device
Fulfill your wishes like loaves and fishes
And put your victory on ice
Clue #6 A famous singer and a diamond dinger
Might put you oh so close to the spot
With the whites of your eyes you should look for the prize
Within this convenient plot
Clue #7 Don\'t turn up your noses at the city of roses
The home of the park that you seek
It\'s just north of town so come on down
Our hunt is not for the meek
Clue #8 Don\'t go mental just head for Central
Lexington Avenue will show you the way
Your spirits won\'t sag when you see the big flag
Into the trees you want to stray

You bring your auger- I have my rubber mallet- we'll find something down there , and bore and hammer it to little bits.

I don't know about the medallion, but it would be fun... :pbpt:

From the PP:

Treasure Hunt medallion hunters who gather at the Pioneer Press every night awaiting the latest clue will soon get a little entertainment.

The Pioneer Press, Cub Foods and Clear Channel will host two events for Treasure Hunt participants Friday and Jan. 30. The events will be from 11 p.m. to midnight in the newspaper's lobby.

The gatherings, which have drawn up to 1,500 treasure hunters in the past, will be canceled only if the medallion has been found before the scheduled date.

The Friday event will feature radio station K102 and Tuesday's event the radio station KDWB.

Each event will feature music and special prize giveaways, along with the latest Treasure Hunt clue.

Not sure if this has been discussed...Along with Schiller at Como, there is the Larry Hodgson ballfield area. There is a monument there stating that Laurence was a poet, among other things. Looks like Como has two bards.

I notice that too. 2 bards, 2 references to conservatory? Is there too much saying como?

Thanks for the kind welcome! I found the recap and really appreciate that overview.

Another thought..woodsy retreat = bird sanctuary at Como. Retreat and sanctuary have similar meanings. I spent some time there today digging around. Maybe about 6 other people there at that time.

"..the 32-year-old boy and 37-year-old girl were able to rest this childhood dream."

This must have been back in the day when women didn't have first names. Mrs. Joe Schmo, Mrs. John Doe. Never Mrs. Jane Schmo or Mrs. Jane Doe. If it was written like that it was assumed the woman was divorced.

A friend of mine called a while ago and she spent five hours at Como today. Then she left and went to her job as a ski patrol at Afton Alps.

dont think people shoudl read too deep into thinking it is not at como unless the clue tonight takes away from that - after all the clue today was technically the 5th clue of a hunt (theoretically anyway).....the clue may have just stated the obvious (as did the crosby clues 2 yrs ago) to state the park - if the next clues tonight give directional clues for como etc...then its all good

if it throws a curve to another park tonigth then we start anew

c0m0 is huge and many places to hide (toss) a medallion

You know, there are a few dome, mode, and toin' and froin' kind'a clues this hunt...

    Like "benched."

As in court and what you sit on. You'd find benches on basketball and tennis courts.
