Recent Clues:

Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes

To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched

Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey

Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet
Clue #2 If you\'re thinking big you\'re sure to dig
Near flora with growing pain
Winter or summer is never a bummer
A menagerie of fun wild or tame
Clue #3 Success on the third clue will never do
We had to stash a second
Round you go if you seek to know
Where swatters of orbs are beckoned
Clue #4: A walk in the park can be a lark
If cell phones are left at home
Heed the siren of your desirin\'
And do not revolt against this poem
Clue #5 Over hill and dale hit the trail
With a handy locating device
Fulfill your wishes like loaves and fishes
And put your victory on ice
Clue #6 A famous singer and a diamond dinger
Might put you oh so close to the spot
With the whites of your eyes you should look for the prize
Within this convenient plot
Clue #7 Don\'t turn up your noses at the city of roses
The home of the park that you seek
It\'s just north of town so come on down
Our hunt is not for the meek
Clue #8 Don\'t go mental just head for Central
Lexington Avenue will show you the way
Your spirits won\'t sag when you see the big flag
Into the trees you want to stray

We went out on a scouting expedition.

That portion of Central Park is HUGE!!

All told, about as many cars there today as there has been at Como.

Went through Como. Found one hunter in the dutch oven area. All other cars in the park seemed to be going to the Conservatory or playing disk golf. And then there were a couple groups playing broomball or hockey at McMurray.

It's cold out there! Brrrrrrrrrr

I'm going to head out to Como shortly I think. See what I can see.

Artemis the Huntress with her new digging tool "Arrow" and I just got a call from Como and the park said "there's good hunting here today, its kinda warm and theres this ah ah pretty sweet smell in the air!"

Wicked Nick

Hold on, man....

That sounds like a horror flick to me...

If Como Park called me up on the phone, I think i'd run the other way.

And Beulah conjures up images of a big ol' chubby lady in a housedress. :worried:

Dietrich. Now that's a STOUT GERMAN NAME. :pbpt:

My top three picks are actually: Reece, Kieran, and Kyan.

I dont think of chubby ladies when I think of Beulah..

yawn - anyone with me in rfusing to believe it is in roseville??

what about BC?? it would be demented and unprecedented

Terry

This is my plan...wait until the clues give us a smaller section of the park to look in - be it Como or Central Park.

Central Park is huge and so is Como.

Maybe we'll all be thrown to BC yet.

  • *raises hand sheepishly**

I think it's cause the park is so big, it's overwhelming. Also, the whole to do about the cops kicking people out. Why would PP do that? They know it would cause a lot of crap.

I'm hoping that with all the cars/people at Central today...(and last night w/the cops)...that if it isn't at Central and they don't want us there, they will let us know tonight

I'm not ruling out other parks but I think the clues fit best at Central right now
    Sun, 01/28/2007 - 2:05 PM Permalink
    Neecie

Just got back from Central. Went in from Dale St. Never been there before but I can sure see it fitting the clues well:

    Lots of big power lines=revolt.

Round = "rotary" written on the benches.

Growing pain= lots of roses in garden area.

    Lots of ball fields.

Near where Aladdin (wishes) ends, there is a ball field next to a marsh area. That marsh is all ice under the snow = victory on ice.

Ok, on second thought I want a hooded sweatshirt! One can't have too many hooded sweatshirts.

And a black hat! Except I look dorky in a hat.

    Bingo.

Loaves and fishes... They fed 5000.

If your wishes are fulfilled similar to feeding 5000, you've fed a slew o'people and may have gotten a caterer.

Caterers also put vitories, champaigne, on ice.

Black Bear Crossing does catering and/or is rented out for large eating things. I read it in the elevator.
