I have this weird feelin in me that this next clue will pinpoint the park because of the weekend commin up or it will specifically say what the medallion is in

People consider the same parks because they are usually in those same parks. There are complications with thousands of people tearing up some little obscure place.

Rob: my theory is if it is at Phalen or highland, the clue tonight will say so, but if it's a smaller park it won't specify much...I am Banking on Phalen 95%

What are some peoples opinions of #5? The damn thing gave me a headache last night.

Phalen it could be hasnt been there in a little while, but B.C. still strongly fits all clues but then again so does Phalen but do you actually think they would put it in phalen since the ice thing is there, besides i was there last night and they had the gate things up

One thing I don't believe in is what I call multi-tiered interpretations. If a clue says something like "water on high" It generally means what it sounds like. A water tower or something. Sometimes people might take that as clouds, and then go to another level and ask themselves what the clouds allude to. That's usually a mistake. If you can't get a direct answer from the clue, its probably not the right answer. Another example, last year, when "trees in a line" led to Woodrow, which then led to Wilson, the clue stepped you through the process instead of leaving it up to you. So the best explanation is probably a direct one. Just some general advice.

I was at NP tonite and it was most uninspiring. Where are the towers? You can't see jack from there. I am hitting the brick wall. Almost new clue time.... woo hoo!

Until yesterday I liked Phalen. Now I feel like I am back at the begining. At least I know its in St. Paul.

Tom: have you been to the Statue at Phalen...take one glance at that area and you will be convinced. And I am not even close to joking

Attention past finders of the treasure!!!! I would like a group photo for the Treasure Hunter's Guide "Hall of Fame". Please send me an e-mail to see if we can get together at the park. Give me your hunting schedule for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Thanks,

Steve

Sorry I am butting in-- but the statue at Phalen is of the ice castle right? Excellent radio towers there too. One thing-- it closes one hour after dark. How are we supposed to hunt?

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 11:15 PM Permalink
Nensea

they shut the gates at phalen, you can't get in to hunt

You might not have to be looking north to see the tower or two. To look towards the ice palace is to look in Boreases direction. It is his home.

Vegas...I think tonight's clue will pinpoint Phalen and they will stop closing the park at night for the rest of the hunt...

I know the pavallion area, by the hill that goes down passed the playground and path/track and down to the lake. By the bridge and grills? Where is the astute and tennis courts? It's also right accross from the Golf Course. Just to let you know "Ace" is a golf term!

Vegas baby is refering to #23.

I guess Rob didn't look at my profile. (Allison is my LAST name). Though I am rather sexy if I do say so myself (hehe).

But the Tennis Courts in PP are no where near the pavallion! What about WARS? Ironic?

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 11:18 PM Permalink

regarding the locked gates and the inability to hunt after dark.. technicaly it is illegal to be in any St. Paul park after dark. Its just that most dont have locked gates. You can always park on a city street nearby and walk in. Its not that far of a walk if you park in the right area.

Didn't WARS also show up 2 years ago in the clues if I remember correctly...It didn't show up at Battle Creek, that's forsure

working on antonyms...fair, pleasant, sunny, clear, etc, etc, etc...anybody have any other

#6 will be a biggie

Fair is the only one that fits both cloudy and foul. It could mean Fairview.

DiggDugg: I am digging kind of deep but how about opposites of cloudy and foul to be sunny and delightful...medallion hidden in one of those small sunny delight containers! : ) Just burned a pizza to a crisp : (

of course, i'm a relative newbie...don't know if I'm qualified to get 'feelings' yet.
