I did that stuff the first year I looked for the thing, when it was at Harriet Island. I felt like such a ding-a-ling when it was found in the middle of nowhere.
I never thought I'd say this, but my gut feeling led me to Newell, until I slogged for 10 minutes and saw no one else seems to think it's Newell anymore . ..
Oof da. I am just checking in to see how things are going, but the broomball knocked the pins out from under this old geezer. I think I may turn in and find the clue the old fashion way; in the morning paper. Thank goodness, I do not have green's paper deliverer; mine comes like clockwork before six.
One note before I turn in. While I am notorious for stoking the Newell fuel, I am now going to try to calm people down before they frenzy my park to shreds. There are indeed two prominent towers to the north of the park, but they are not generally visible. I still favor a larger park this year, but am not sure which one yet.
I hope the clue tonight illuminates all of us, because the greatest part of the hunt (for those of us who have never found the medallion) is meeting coolerheads on midnight digs! See you all this weekend!
People never learn. They also dig around every tree, sign, and park bench even though it hasen't been hidden like that as long as I can remember.
Fair -> Fairway -> Golf -> Phalen Golf Course

I'm guessing all the people who feel strongly about Newell are probably out there digging, but Newell is a strong contender.

Right now, i think any park is just about as strong as the other...newell and phalen sure seem to have a lot of buzz, though.
PIE- Did you ever choose your 2 parks like you said you were going to do last night?

Hey George...wentto Phalen tonight and it looked WAY to promising!
I went to newell tonight and I could not see any towers from there. I also can't make the second clue fit to Newell.
Allison- Sorry about that weird theory I passed by you, don't know what got into me. To much Saki perhaps . . .
Hey guys, I was out of commission for 48 hours, so I'm about 5000 messages behind. Sounds like we *think* Newell or Phalen, but no one is sure.
Any other dish?
More references to WAR. Battle Creek? Swede Hallow?
