Yeah, well it's not that I don't feel crappy about it. At least I did quit for the vital first 6 months. And to be quite honest (since I now feel the need to explain myself) I used to smoke a pack a day, now I smoke about 5 cigarettes a day.

At least I am not drinking or smokin the crack, right?

Way back when, when I was having babies, women smoked in their doctor's waiting room. They even supplied ash trays on your tray in your room after you had the baby.

There are lots of people out there who had mothers who smoked during their pregnancy that turned out perfectly ok.

Just saying.

My mom smoked through all seven of us. The rest turned out normal. :chagrin:

I didn't smoke with any of my other kids... I guess I am just under a lot of stress right now. My job doesn't have paid maternity leave, you have to use your own accrued time off. Being that I have only been there a little over a year, I have none. :frown:

Bigslim is going to have to get a night job to TRY to make ends meet while I am out, since I am the "major breadwinner" in the family.

when I talked with Caroline Robertson yesterday I wanted badly to tell her all about the conference call but I didn't want everyone to know what we were up to. I didn't want the PP to find a way to make the clues any more difficult and twisted than they did this year.

but not all of you may feel the same way -

I dont want other people doing it too -it gives us a huge edge as a whole - If I woulda found it I woulda givin a cut to all 3 ladies on the phone and bear for the set up!

The conf call is a great way to go and I think keeping it secret is a good way too go.

I know how much people want to share the joy in how well it worked though.

I talked to two seperate groups who were also doing the conference call, so that's not new technology that we really need to hide from people...what surprised me was how simultaneously everyone seemed to get the clue...wasn't our gang second in line? or did I get that wrong...? were they selling in the skyway or at another booth? how did so many people get the clue so fast?

I think people started moving and everyone else just followed and they got the clue on teh way...we just got a heads up on the "right direction" to go...even if the direction was wrong in the 2-3 minutes it took us to get down to the "right" side of the park others probably started getting their clues on the way.

Yeah I was like the first one into the woods behind the Lexington playground and within ten seconds a million people were right on top of me. I think they followed me because the first tree I went to was the wrong one and it seemed to be the center of the chaos. I think I learned something for the next time the hunt goes to the last clue. When you get the clue, line everything up and figure out where to go, and then mosey over to where the clue leads instead of charging full speed. :sillygrin:

I thought I would stop by and catch up with the posts. I wish I could make the Re-hash but as I type my house is full with my wifes' parents, sister and our little one year old niece. They are all in town and staying at our house untill Sunday afternoon becuase it is my Wifes Birthday on Sunday the 4th. We also have a Superbowl/Birthday party planned and those different guests (our close friends) will be arriving on Sunday before my Inlaws are gone, what a mess. I feel like it is the Chevy Chase christmas vacation over here.

I hope everyone has fun and I will have to try and participate in one of the mock hunts this summer. I am already looking forward to the 2008 hunt.

I went to the parade tonight. It was short, but nice. And, the very small crowd was extremely enthusiastic.

My furnace went out last night... So it is like -14 here, and about 50 in the house... The good news is I don't have to run back to drill, the bad news is the repair guy wont be here to potentially fix my blower fan (every guy needs one) until like 11-1130 or so ...
