The Sales Manager coworker here coming in, once again all ticked off, saying heads are gonna roll.

Seriously the guy thinks he's my boss. What a joke, we started as equals, in fact, if it wasn't for me being here, this place would have failed 6 months ago.

Not that he cares about that, he's just ticked the new system isn't solving people's stupidity problems. Basically the only reason we're having problems is everyone's attitude of "I don't care".

I care, always have, why do they think I work an insane amount of hours without a break of any sort.

So yes, I guess that's something I enjoy. I'm one of only 3 people in the office that give a darn about doing a good enough job to get a paycheck.

Business Activity tracking software.

This thing Rocks! I can make up a ticket to track for every issue I resolve or work on. Next time I go for a review, I'll pull up all the crap I've done and account for it.

Reminds me of the good ol tech support days with Remedy. Gosh how'd I ever get along without that so many years?

Today, I love baby shower registries. First you get to walk around with a scanner, then you can watch things get crossed off the list as people buy them. It's like getting to peek at your Christmas presents.

:ooh:

Too bad I can't put AbleMinds on my registry:

Being called a lazy worthless bum by a coworker.

Well, that's a fine howdy do for all the extra stuff I do here. Don't even care anymore what anyone here thinks of my work. I KNOW what I do, and I KNOW how fast this place would fold if I left.

I don't need thanks or recognition, never did.

this is neither here nor there ....

I got a call yesterday from a woman in California for some history research ...

we talk for 20 minutes.... I'm not in the best mood and kinda giving her my irritated 'why do I have to repeat myself and why don'tcha already know this stuff and why do I have to be sooo specific' attitude, talking slow and in a low tone,... I notice it cause I know how I am and I felt sorta bad but the funny thing is people who don't know me don't notice and they still think I'm being nice & helpful...I guess thats a really good thing though.

she calls me back a couple minutes later and says "can I ask you a personal question" .... I'm thinking "great, she noticed" .... but the question was...

"Where did you grow up?"

now I'm awakened from my grumpiness and suprised at the question... I respond with another sassy attitude of "I grew up right here in St. Paul" - kinda that 'duh' factor' that I give when someone asks me if I read the Pioneer Press or StarTrib.

.... she said she asked because her sister lived in Fargo for some time and I had an accent like her and she liked it.

WoW! Didn't see that one coming

thanks for reading my long story - you may return to your life now

Sometimes...when we get a few friends together for late night trips to denny's or wherever... we have a rule that everybody has to order their food in a different accent, and talk like that, whenever the waiter/waitress is around....

Its kinda fun.

Pay Me

Children that suprise you!

Thomas has a little boy that comes into his 3rd grade class for the morning routine and occassionally throughout the day. He has down syndrome. He doesnt talk much, says yes and no. He has the mentality of a 2 year old.

Everytime he comes in the room Thomas lights up and goes to play with him. It really brightens this little boys day as well.

So while other kids are making fun of the kid who is "different" he is making friends.

It was one of those..."I am really proud of him"....moments.

Thanks, I'm working on that, eventually.

I seem to be at a point in life where I need to start keeping a better schedule. As much as I hate the thought of it, I just have too much on my plate to handle without a written out list of what I need to do.

As of right now, I can just about keep up with all the stuff I'm asked/required to do, which goes for work, home, and anything inbetween. I'm not joking when I say I don't have any free time. What time I have when I go home at night is spent trying to unwind my brain from a day of hard use. Translation: I go home and vegitate for a while before I nod off to sleep, often just thinking of all the stuff I need to do the next day.

I had the oddest dream recently. I don't really remember it, all I remember was I was doing something fun/amazing, outside of what one would normally get to do. The sad part was I figured out quickly that the dream wasn't reality, so I woke myself up, and started to get ready for work. Promptly forgot the details of the dream on my drive in to work. Heh.

Regardless of all that, I find I have no time to keep up with the forums right now. I might barely have time to read them. So, I'm gonna take some time away from here. If ya see my name popup on the "Who's Here?" List, I'm probably just reading posts, I won't be responding, or posting new messages. At least not for some time, until I get things under control here.

Since I've had this up on my screen for the last 4 hours, I think I've proved my point. Talk to ya all at some point in the future, I don't know when yet.

that's awesome  Andy is the same way, there was a boy at his old school that was in a wheel chair, I think he had MS, andy used to push him around in his wheel chair for the teacher, we brought our cat for show and tell one day and he made sure that the cat got to sit on this kids lap since he couldn't get out of his chair.
