Speaking of steakhouses, it looks like R. Norman's won't make its debut in St. Paul after all. David Koch, owner of Bella in Blaine and Bellanotte in Minneapolis, and his general manager, Randy Norman, decided to open in Minneapolis first.
It will be next to the Pantages Theater in downtown Minneapolis, the spot St. Paul restaurateur David Fhima originally planned to run.
Koch and Norman are still planning to open a steakhouse in the old Lowry Hotel at Wabasha and Fourth streets, but the space is far from ready.
Huh? They are going to put a steak house across the street from a steak house?
As some of you know, I took some video footage of Jakes interveiw with the Pioneer Press guy in his apartment before he turned in the med. I promised him I would put it on a DVD for him.
Since I had some extra space on the DVD, I decided to fill it up with a slideshow of all the pictures I took at the Predig at McGoverns.
There was still more room, so I made another slideshow of all my hunt pictures I took during the hunt (matty B's/Paper/in the field/harriette Island Vulcan coming out/ the 1st parade, etc.) and the rehash bash.
I also threw in a short movie of Jake taken while in the shopping cart of the parade.
I still had some room, so I took all the photos that were posted in this thread and made a slide show of them to fill up the DVD.
As a thankyou to all the people that contributed photos to this thread this year, I have made a copy of this DVD for you. (I didn't use any of vinos pics, because there wasn't room, and they were posted late).
I made a total of 12 copies. I wish I could make one for everyone, but it is a lot of work and time. If anyone else wants one, please ask someone who gets one to make a copy for you. If all else fails, I can make more IF I REALLY HAVE TO. It would be a lot easier on me if you have one of the others copy it for you.
The following people have a copy waiting for them. Please PM me or call me to make arrangements on delivery of your DVD:
