I'm sorry but, I don't think it is at Phalen they would have mentioned water or something to give us a better idea and plus I thought and was told that the park it is in has to be open 24 hours
Observations: Wood recycling plant at Pigseye= extract? Lots of parks on Pleasant Street Lambert's (Lower Landing) on WARNER road An attraction of opposites could have brought Mary and Dale together. Opposites attract clue may = bathroom clue 5, maybe 6 parks have statues Phalen is still ok in my book. So is the battle creek area. I get bad vibes from Highland. I have begun to consider smaller parks.
I did go and look. Stuck to the one bench where I found the newspaper with the article on the Vikings (damn I was sure it was inside that paper!) Beyond that I was getting cold and didn't have any ideas where to go next.
There aren't too many tracks by parks. I used the friends of the parks website and found only a few entries, including Central's at Dunning (a no-go) and Highland's (school property in my mind). I run track and know this town's tracks. I feel the clue doesn't elude to an actual track.
Has anyone figured out if the marathon goes by Newell or Phalen? Also, at this instant I again feel we should trust that clue 4 eludes to actual picnic shelters and cooking areas. That would leave 8 or 9 parks. Phalen gives me average to slightly above average excitement, though it's too big to dig now.
I think I'd better head for the blankets, too. Even if I will lay there awake for the next few hours....I need to be rested for the urchins who, when they don't have to get dressed to be anywhere, seem to get up at the crack of dawn.
Anyway, I don't dare out-sleep them! Catch y'all tomorrow!
I feel that loot is an anagram for tool. Whoever is writing these clues is admitting he/she is a tool, their clues have no value, and that we should wait for clue 12 to spell it out for us.
Allison get my mail??

Regal, I'm so tired. All I can think of for someone staying on the right track is "lose weight" - Nordic Track.
I'VE GOT IT!!! That's the Viking reference!!!
I'M A GENIUS!!!
oops didn't see that
"Set your own pace and it could make you an ace."
COULD also mean -mall walkers set their own pace-==mall
ACE = ace ventura>jesse ventura hence capitol mall park???LOL
Kiwi--it's been at Phalen before. Como closes and it was there just 3 years ago!
Hide-n Seek are you there or here? What were you talking about earlier I didn't understand?

I still don't think its at phalen but, that's my own personal opinion
Schlett -- what's up, buddy!
PHALEN PHITS PHALEN PHITS
i'm back...slight case of cybercrashing..hey mom...cool..were all vikings!! hey kiwi..yah it's momma!!
Green...... ding!
dogg??? wanna shoot some archery 'marra?
The ONLY way I can get #6 into Phalen izz with "attack."
The hockey rinks and the 1/5 basketball thingy. And that all smacks too much o'Conway - like deja vu. Don't think that's it.
Hi, Allison. Well, at least you're prolly on the right track! :> So you should find it soon!
Newell not it, mounds is not it,phalen is not it, but the Wizard knows if you have a sharpe eye, you will be "on the right track"
Allison, did you go there and look?
Is there any parks that are near and within seeing range of a tack like used for highschool students to do there track meets or something?
emmy and hannahs mom has the sexiest font???= )

track also is SLANG for 18 HOLE golf course <perk>
Is that where you found the paper??
I'm sorry to say, but you all are reading WAY, WAY too far into these clues.
Read the clues from past years and they tell you 1, maybe 2 things.
Remember, the clue writer is making these clues from where they are standing in the park (or clues close to the area)
Wussup Dogg?

Dong!
Maybee ittiz, Rusty, but we gotta stay off those golf courses, so we couldn't "bee on the right track."
well doods i am gonna have to go look at phalen where I can also SEE the water tower/WELL(trained eye) from the S end
What fun would this site be if people didn't read too much into the clues?
well doods i am gonna have to go look at phalen where I can also SEE the water tower/WELL(trained eye) from the S end
Schlett - i don't think "track" means anything. Are you still a Phalen believer?
schlett: possibly the route of a marathon or even where it ends at the cap.?
who is Tony Schmitt? There is a park named after him
Hhhhuuummmmm.... Skiing lays or sets a "track."
The ski race at Phalen...
He invented Schmidt beer...
I think the important thing in #6 are:
"A well-trained eye is one reason why to be on the right track."
Okay thank you
well I for one am still glad your all in here and not out "tracking" up the parks making for tough digging
Tony Schmidt Park is in Arden Hills anyway, not part of this hunt.

Actually, as of today, I don't think #4 alludes to a picnic shelter at all.
Well, time for me to toddle. Gotta go bock to square one tomorrow.
Good luck and good digging, Diggers!
The Twin Cities marathon goes by neither Phalen or Newell, runs along Miss river blvd., and then on down Summit to the Capital.
bus shelter... right?
Thanks e&h's mom
Well, buenos noches amigos y amigas! Tiempo para la cama. Tengo Mucho consado!!
'Night Green.

Dog thats a good way to put it
See, Kiwi knows what I'm sayin'. Ya' know what I'm sayin'?
I'm back. I am extremely stumped on Clue #5...what is everyone's ideas?
