STILLWATER - Don't expect to hear "Freebird" at this year's Lumberjack Days.
St. Croix Events Wednesday morning announced this year's headlining musical acts, with Deep Blue Something, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and The New Cars performing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, respectively. The opening acts are yet to be completely set.
I think they've had that same headlins for 3 years in a row now.
Like skynyrd is really evil or something. :eyeroll:
They should just print that they are'nt as dumb as they were in the past and used their brains this time in the planning. They like to blame Skynyrd for the fiasco of their own piss poor planning process in the past.
Took our cat to the animal hospital today. Got a call while at the mall with zephkid3 that the cat was in the litter box tried to go, and just fell over.
He has been under the weather for the past two days, but didn't seem to severe. We bring him in, and they are talking that he needs to be looked at right away or he could die. His bladder is blocked, and so full it is rock solid. Zephswife looked it up on the internet and there she saw that cats only can hold that in for about two days or they're done.
So he is at the animal hospital now, after signing an agreement that the stuff they are doing is going to cost between $895 and $1500... If you asked me yesterday, I'd have said it wasn't worth it. He is a cat after all. But when he was laying there all lethargic on the hospital table, wrapped in a blanket with warmed up IV bags to raise his body temperature, it was hard to say anything other than "why haven't you started already?".
Other than that it was an ok day, I got a Manowar CD/DVD combo (The Sons of Odin), and also the same from Mercyful Fate (Melissa 25 yr re-release). Something to keep my mind off of why the animal hospital hasn't called yet... he was dropped off around 5 PM... :frown:
timvasi, "What features, visuals, or behavior would you like us to tweak?" #1015, 17 Mar 2007 9:34 pm from the head bacon in charge... I've increased the size limit to 20K (we can afford the space, Lance can't ) and set height and width as follows:
Max Height: 200 pixels
Max Width: 180 pixels
That should be more than adequate for an avatar. How the height and width works is this... If you load an image outside of those dimensions It will be contained to those dimensions.
sorry about the kitty zeph :frown: i had some issues with my cat also, (blood in his urine) Purina has a urinary tract formula cat food that took care of the problem, if your baby comes home, try feeding him that from now on, it's a little more spendy but worth it.
He is doing fine I hear, we can pick him up and his $900 bill either tonight or tomorrow morning. :frown:
LL, The Hospital Vet said he is pretty much gonna be on a special diet for life... Which means to me that we are gonna be stuck feeding them the Big Buck foods anyway, so if we don't get a specific food to feed, I will definitely try That stuff from Purina
I'm sure they will tell you to feed him a really expensive iams or science diet, if it's just a urinary tract formula try the purina first, probably won't be as expensive as those bigger brands and it's most likely the same thing.
This doesn't have anything to do with that cat and dog food recall I've heard about is it Zeph? I know that had something to do with the Kidneys I thought...Glad Kitty is OK
I once spent about $1000 to get one of my cats better but she died anyway :frown:
She's in an urn in my guest room cuz it was too cold (January) to dig that deep in the ground. I don't regret spending the money to try to get her better, though..poor Callie Girl... :frown:
Zeph, I hope your kitty will be on to better health now!
I checked the recall listing, and the Brand is listed, but only for the wet foods. So that shouldn't have been an issue, and our other cat is fine, now that she is done with her conjunctivitis...
I picked him up this morning brought him home and dropped him off at our regular vet. He was amazed that they didn't remove his catheter, and that since he still had it in that he didn't have a bag attached to it. So when I pulled him out of the pet carrier he was full of urine, and there was a constant dribble coming from his catheter tube. :frown: He had an IV hookup on his wrist, and one of those lovely cone thingy's on his head. Not exactly what I was expecting to see when I picked him up this morning.
So... he will hopefully be coming home for good tomorrow... Can't wait to see what the vet charges... :frown:
Don't laugh - we actually do have health insurance for our dog. Through Banfield (Petsmart) yearly fee and she gets all her shots, regualr examines and huge discounts on proceedures that she needs - it pays in the long run.
Happy Anniversary, mrmikey and Penny! I didn't know you were almost a newlywed.
Happy anniversary, Mike! Has your wife ever been around? I don't know that I have met her.
(you know the one where bobby finds the "taboo" and greg falls while surfing etc...)
