MM Sounds like your already to have a baby! Can't wait to get the good news that she has arrived! I think we all know how slow those last few weeks seem to move when the first 6 months seems to go really fast! At least for me anyways. Glad to hear everything is going well.
Actually it's going really super fast! LOL I can't get over it! My baby shower was yesterday, and OMG baby Kaitlynn is set for a loooooooong time!! She has more clothes than I do!! We got a lot of diapers and wipes too so those are really going to come in handy. So not only is she gonna have a padded butt, but she's going to have a clean one at that!! About 3 am this morning I started having mild contractions, and off and on all day I have been as well.... lol yesterday everyone was saying that the baby's going to be here by the end of the week... I'm not so sure.. but then again ya never know!
38 wk check up today.. still dialated the same.. lol was really hoping that maybe things would progress a lil bit more.. because I'm sooooo ready to have this kid!!
OMG I have done soooo much walking today!! Since I was so nice.. and this helped my cousin, Mark and I went walking around Indian Mounds Park today, up and down the hills a few times.. my legs are killin me!! We're going to go back tomorrow, and I think we might even venture out to the Como Zoo since it's supposed to be just as nice tomorrow as it was today. It's just the anticipation!! I want to see her!! I've already organized, re organized, re re organized her room.. .lol the best that I can for now anyways, I'm running out of things to do here! Also got A LOT of spring cleaning done today! My house is officially no longer in shambles like it was last night!! I will be glad however when this whole "nesting" phase is over!
weeeellll.. lol I just can't wait!! I've been bakin this bun for 9 months.. lol and damn it I've waited long enough! Went walking at Mounds again today and a little out at Como. It was sooooo beautiful!! All I know is that my back is killin me.. and to be frank.. it feels like I have a freakin basket ball between my legs!! LOL
men just have no idea - did ares give him the best advice yet: 'yes dear'
great things about being preggers:
feeling the baby kick and move around
eating whatever you can if you want
having your hubby be the most helpful and loving
baby shopping!!!!!! baby fever
your house gets clean from nesting
I completely understand how excited you are for the baby to be here----I also understand how many times it took you to get to this point ::hugs::
...my advice...
just slow down and REALLY enjoy these last days of the baby in you. These things don't happen in our life all the time and it may be a long while before you ever get these feelings and actions back again...if ever. Savor every moment
Oh man.. Mark is soooo good to me. He rubs my back and my feet, if I need something he gets it for me.. I'm really really lucky. He won't even let me do much cleaning.. he makes me sit on my arse!! I feel so useless sometimes! This pregnancy has gone so smooth, it almost seems too good to be true! I've enjoyed every bit of it, even the discomforts. It's hard to believe that in just a matter of a week and a half or so, providing she's on time, Kaitlynn will be here!! AHHHH!! LOL
well hopefully I'll be able to keep reporting. It would be nice if the hospital could hook me up with a computer there in my room  I'm just so darn excited that I can't even sleep! LOL I keep poor Mark up all night talking about what I think she's going to be like, ect. I know one thing's for sure, I would cry, like... sobbing cry, if she turned out to be a he! LOL I could happen, and I'm hoping in my case it doesn't, because everything that I have is all girl stuff!!! I'll have to scan the ultrasounds though..the shots are so clear it's unbelieveable!
lol ya know my family thinks it's going to be an April Fools baby because it's my grandma's 70th bday that day.. so everyone's hoping. LOL well... I'll tell ya what.. if our baby IS a boy... he's going to be an awefully... girly.. boy.. *cough* lol nah, it's a girl, all the way. Tomorrow I'll scan the ultrasounds so y'all can see her  She's not shy, let me tell ya! Scary thing is, I dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing!
Yet another baby update  I went to my appt tdy... still haven't dialated much, only at about 2.5 cms. They're going to do an ultrasound on Monday to get a better idea of how much she weighs now. If by some odd chance she's over 9 lbs, I may have to have a C-Section, otherwise, they're going to gel my cervix on Thursday and start the Pitocin on Friday.. so one way or another, Kaitlynn will be here on April 6th  Unless by some odd chance I go into labor on my own, but even my dr says that doesn't seem likely because I'm just not having contractions.
Yet another baby update. Had another dr's appt tdy. Thought they were going to start inducing my labor this week, turns out that they're not going to do it until NEXT week. UGH!! LOL I want this baby out now!! I'm soooooo tired of waiting. Right now, they're saying she's weighing in @ 8lbs 7 oz. Her head is just about 35 cms in circumfrence. She's gonna be a biggon  She's good and healthy and measuring right on. Scary thing is... she's gonna be closer to 9 lbs next week! So, on Wed April 11th they're going to gel my cervix, Thursday the 12th they're starting the Pitocin. Good thing about it is, it gives me a little more of a chance to go into labor on my own, even though it doesn't look likely. That and I'll be able to enjoy Easter with my family instead of being in the hospital. It also gives a little more time to get the few things we need. We still need to buy a pack and play, a baby swing, and a baby bath... so it gives us more time to shop around
tell your man to stickit to you! didnt you guys see that epasode of friends where they try to force wicth ever one it was into labor lol!!!!! rock and roll anything to have sex!!!!!!!!!
wow! don't babies gain a pound a week in the last 4 weeks? owie!
and I tried to keep from telling you but I just have to tell you .... I was all excited about getting induced and let me tell you!...being induced is worse than the labor pain itself!!!!!!!!!!!!
the only difference is that inducing last a shorter time! No one ever told me that so Im telling you! and the hottub/jacuzzi and shower during labor helped wonders -I'll never forget it!
rock and roll lets pump this new cooler out!!!!!!!!! get her here!!!!! then we need to find the next cooler boy thats almost the same age so we can get them together early so they will get married and cary one the cooler for ever!!!!!!!!!
I'm happy for you, I just got done with a clinical rotation in the OB dept at Woodwinds and I loved it!! One thing, while your at the hospital you will be bombarded with a ton of information in the short time your there. I have tons of resources and a little experience so if you need anything don't hesitate to call!!
Mrs. Zephy, where are you going to school? Woodwinds seems like such a great hospital. I worked OB at HealthEast hospitals from 1986-1991 and taught prenatal classes for them, but Woodwinds wasn't even there yet. I did take two Healing Touch classes there, in the past few years. I like that they offer complimentary alternative therapies.
LOL thanks.. I'm sure I'll need it!! I have been trying to read up on as much stuff as I can to try to stay ahead of the game.. lol it may or may not pay off in the end, lol but we'll see. I'm so excited.. I can't wait! I'm trying to be patient.. but it's just not happening. I really haven't been having any contractions other than braxton hicks like ones. People at the drs office think that I just have a high pain tolerance.. lol but I really don't. I'm only dialated to about 2 cms.. and not progressing at all. I'd like to go into labor on my own and have the baby sooner, but... it's not likely.
I go to school at Inver Hills Community College. It's a great school with a great nursing program, I love it!! Woodwinds is a beautiful hospital. They have a very nice OB dept where moms get tons of TLC, they are great about involving other family members as well. If you get a chance you should visit and see how nice it is.
Mrs. Zephy, I graduated from Inver Hills nursing program in 1985!! During the healing touch classes I took at Woodwinds, they took us on a tour, including the OB area, since one of our instructors was also an OB nurse there.

I really liked the pre-labor feeling
kinda a braxtonhicks hard feeling
A co-worker of mine had his first baby tonight.

Which reminds me. I hate the term "baby bump"! Just do. Not sure why.
So you could pull it off and say you're old fashioned or something.
