2007 Twins Golden Ticket

Submitted by Clue Master on
Clue #1

The Twins Gold Ticket is hidden once more.
Only five days! So head out the door.
Don't be confused when you find it to be
hidden in something you cannot see!

Clue #2

Head towards Spring Training but not so far down,
get away from the twins, not the team, but the town.
Go on an incline, meeker hunters be bold,
and you'll pick up the ticket, the one that is gold!

Clue #3

Tony O and the Killer made famous this place,
with their strength and their bats and their gentle grace.
Add Punto, Castillo and then you will know
that all you need now, is go with the flow.

Clue #4

A series of parks where water flows through it,
Hunter's position just might guide you to it.
There are good games a-plenty, and grills to cook food,
trails wander below for sweet solitude.

Clue #5

Make certain your steps when you're done parking.
One hundred yards right and you'll see a mile marking.
In the elves' bumpy home, up the hill many feet,
Right a bit of the signpost, the ticket you'll meet!

Yep, he plays center field. I think it means either the ticket is in the center of the park, or the park is in the center of the city.

I'm thinking it might be Central Park in Bloomington. Nine Mile Creek is the water connecting parks. Central looks like it has grills and playfields, and it's near a dropoff to overlook things.

Just about everyone and their brother found this KB 1000 cache

Clue Master

Even though it was raining, it was still nice to be out looking in the right park at least. I hope one of us finds the thing. I saw Mucluck, Chris Digger, me2, Barefoot Guy and a few other non-CC hunters toughing it out in the rain this morning. The top part of the park was pretty easy to cover but it will take longer to cover down below. If it's even in that part of the park that is.

YES!

That's her screen name. Thanks 3M

And I don't think that's your park OT

OT

I think it is. I looked at that Bloomington map and saw that game refuge and thought it was around there. Didn't remember the name, but I recognize the bridge. I was going to mention the bridge, because it's my favorite place down there.

Is there a ramp down to the river and a bunch of docks through the reeds into the river farther down a path from that bridge? I used to go down there a lot when I worked out that way. But it's been 15 years.

Clue Master

No river - just creek

Maybe the others could clarify since I didn't go down much more than a 1/4 mile from there
Wed, 03/28/2007 - 11:59 AM Permalink
OT

You can't walk to the river if take a path to the southeast?
Wed, 03/28/2007 - 12:01 PM Permalink

Don't think so. Here's a bird's eye view. Now go get it OT! Chop Chop!

OT

Nope, not my park. My park is much prettier. :pbpt: I guess it makes sense that they would have the same bridge design in all of their parks.

But seriously, sometime during the summer you should go down to my park by the river. Very pretty area.

I get out to lots of nice parks all year round.

Moir is okay, I've visited there a few times. Not really my favorite area. Personally I really like Shaar's Bluff (aka Spring Lake Park) down by Hastings. Obviously not for this hunt, but I really have no desire to win twins tickets, so I'm not paying as close of attention as I could.
