2007 Twins Golden Ticket

Submitted by Clue Master on
Clue #1

The Twins Gold Ticket is hidden once more.
Only five days! So head out the door.
Don't be confused when you find it to be
hidden in something you cannot see!

Clue #2

Head towards Spring Training but not so far down,
get away from the twins, not the team, but the town.
Go on an incline, meeker hunters be bold,
and you'll pick up the ticket, the one that is gold!

Clue #3

Tony O and the Killer made famous this place,
with their strength and their bats and their gentle grace.
Add Punto, Castillo and then you will know
that all you need now, is go with the flow.

Clue #4

A series of parks where water flows through it,
Hunter's position just might guide you to it.
There are good games a-plenty, and grills to cook food,
trails wander below for sweet solitude.

Clue #5

Make certain your steps when you're done parking.
One hundred yards right and you'll see a mile marking.
In the elves' bumpy home, up the hill many feet,
Right a bit of the signpost, the ticket you'll meet!

That's OK by me. I couldn't hunt today anyway. Too bad one of us didn't find it yesterday. I wonder if it was that one other guy looking with us in the rain? He was the only other crazy one out there other than us. I'd just like to know if it was on top or below. I'm only a couple of blocks away from the Dome right now. I might fly over there for the press conference after my meeting and see what's up.

Chris' friend called him last night and said he saw on the news that someone found it...the finder claimed to had found it only a couple hours before the broadcast-that would place the 'find' around 8ish. Chris went downtown last night around 11 anyhow to pick up the paper to be sure it was true, he called me about it and basically found out from the delivery guys that the paper is released at 8:30pm. soooooo, the finder had to find it in time for the paper to go to the presses. I think it was found EARLY yesterday morning before any of us got out there.

I'm thinking it was near the top of the hill between 104th st and the flower beds on the hill.

Soooo techniqually we coulda had yesterdays clue at 8:30 the night before.

learn something new every year

clue writer seems to have gotten better too

anyone know where any of the past years clues are posted?

I think it was:

2007 Moir Park (bloomington)

2006 Hidden Falls Park (st paul)

2005 Marydale Park (st paul)

2004 Pearl Park (mpls)

I could have 06 and 05 mixed around but the park names are correct.

Finder of Pearl Park and Marydale park was Chris Nelson and family

Clue 1: To find the Golden Ticket you will start from our home plate. Everyone is searching so don't dare hesitate. A 70's band you did enjoy regardless of the season. They pound the drums and the guitar singing, "Never Been Any Reason".

Clue 2: Can she sing? Can she act? We'll leave it up to you. This Britney flick she was the star and this my friend is true.

Clue 3: Orthodontics to the north, you will hear a whistle. Handles merge to form this place and don't step on a thistle.

Clue 4: To the south you see ripples and the street is quite fragrant. Of all of the clues you've had thus far this one is quite flagrant.

I felt awkward enough/a trader being seen buying a Trib paper from the box outside the St Paul Caribou last week let alone buy another Trib paper to find out the outcome- I was hoping someone would know-

Chris said the paper said information would be published in Tuesdays paper! why wait 5 days? I don't get it.

I thought it was going to be published in Monday's paper. If that's the case indeed, they may be waiting to do it since it will coincide with opening day of the Twins' season.

I am amazed at how we get to right park at times

some of us got 9 mile creek by adding jersey numbers of castillo and puntobeans - 8 plus 1 equals 9 = 9 mile creek

I have not seen the answers yet so maybe 9 meant disc golf basket #9

1. The hunt is on for five days. The ticket is wrapped in camouflage material.

2.Spring training means head south. Incline means to go up the hill and also the words "incline meeker" make an anagram for "Nine Mile Creek"

3. Tony Oliva and Harmon Killebrew played in Bloomington at Met Stadium. Adding Punto's (:ooh: and Castillo's (1) numbers together you get the number 9 - for Nine Mile Creek. The ticket is downstream from the point where you get to the creek, close to flowing water.

4.

5.

4.Nine Mile Creek flows through many parks. Hunter's position is Center (Central ark). There you will find disc golf, volleyball, and softball, grills, and walking/running trails near the creek.

5. The first letter of each sentence spells MOIR (Moir Park). Stairs lead to the creek from the parking lot. A mile marker is located approximately 100 yards downstream. Elves (think Keebler) live in hollow trees. A bumpy, hollow tree is found up the hill and a little right of the marker. The Gold Ticket was hidden in the base of a tree along Nine Mile Creek in the Moir picnic area of Central Park in Bloomington.

Thanks for posting Ian

I didn't go that far downstream so I guess I don't feel too bad. I thought it was on top for sure.

trails wander below

I thought they were talking below the hiding place and not just in the park itself.

I've had pretty good luck with this scratch off - I've bought 6 tickets and have won $185. The 3 that were none winners are waiting to be sent in for the second chance drawing.

This could be a fun event...but I'll be playing poker in "Mac Daddy's Super Tournament"
