What irritates you?

Finding out that my unemployment check wasn't lost in the mail, it was mailed with the wrong zip code on it! :angry: :angry: :angry:

After filling out a lost check affidavid for the 1st lost check I was expecting 2 checks this week. I got none. Penny decided to look at the forms (That are filled in by them) that we mail in to claim the money. They have our zip code as 55812-1739 instead of 55119. Thats the zip for Duluth!! :angry: :angry: So now I have stopped payment on the 1st check, haven't gotten the next 2 checks, and probly will have to stop payments on 1 replacement check and the next regular check they sent out. Meanwhile I go a month with no money because of their mistake!! :angry: What a mess!! Meanwhile it seems the St Paul post office can't find the adress if the zip code is wrong. The adress is right, but I havn't gotten 3 checks so far. Too hard to actually read the adress printed on the envelope I guess. What a joke!! After getting checks at the same adress for a year and a half someone changed my adress in their system (and phone number so they can't call me) I left a pretty nasty message for them come monday. I chewed them out for not calling me back last week as I had requested. Mikey, I'm so sorry all that's happening to you.

People just don't think about what their mistakes could mean to someone else...and so they don't double check their work.

I hope their ears are burning all weekend.

Sorry to hear about the mess with your checks and I'm also sorry to hear about your aunt. Hang in there!

Some good news actually on this front. I actually did get one check in the mail today that wasn't a stopped check, so now I'm only behind by one for now. At least I can pay some bills with one.

Sorry you've got something on your mind that is causing lost sleep, Kitch. Hope you find a solution or a resolution.

the hang over i have. it was well deserved. but it still doesnt mean i want it. got in early to the beer tasting via vip. downed 4 beers b4 the general public got there. i have zero recollection of the dancing part. apparently i had quite the time. then i passed out in my friends car n when i woke up later (they were @ the after party) i didnt know where i was. so i drunk dialed my friend and had him come get me. only i didnt know where i was. n if i sat up the world spun. finally i got up n he drove the 10 miles to get me. took me to his house where i commandered his bed n passed out for a few hours. then woke up didnt know where i was n apparently made enough noise to wake my friend up n his couch in the other room n he came to check on me. it was like 5 am. n i couldnt lay back down without spins. so marcus sat up with me until he had to go to work n drive me home. then i had to go run a meeting n now im cocktailing a charity event for a bit (its slow) then i have to go play soccer.

don't know how you do it. I'm too old for that stuff.

the running last night helped. It finally pushed everything out of my system. I'm back on track.

Blue October tonight! (oh wait - that's an enjoy!)

1 week, and my kitty is still missing. I went to the pounds yesterday with photos, and filled out missing reports etc.

I miss him.

hell come bake sweety!!! just give him time he has to explore a little bit the thing we all need to rember they are wild at heart and we can bind them by 4 walls and a roof !! they need some free time some times!!! he will be back And if its a girl and she is not fixed you can bet in good time she will have friends LOL and if its a boy he will have made some friends!!! lol

Spring sucked last year. I hope that doesn't happen again this year. I was worried the lake water would be too cold to swim in last July 4th.

I remember two years ago it only hit 90 a couple of times. Real cold summer :chagrin:

If you get a chance, come and visit the Upper Peninsula of Michigan when there are lake effect snows happening - wild fluctuations in weather - snowing like mad, then sunshine for a short while, then snowing like a banshee again, and it can go on for days like that. The condensation builds up over the lake and the winds blow it inland, sometimes up to about 30 miles away from the lake. Other than that, we just have the same fluctuations Minnesota has.

lots of stuff brings me up that way dog sleads and my brother got maried up there his wife is frome there!! I love it up there!!! I like kitch it kippie I dont know how to speel it!!! but it is a state park up there!!!

Do you do dogsledding? I really want to try that sometime. Our veterinarian is a musher, so I've gotten real interested in it, following his progress in the races.

They tell us we're going to get somewhere between 8-21" of snow here in the next 30 hours. The mushers might get one last hurrah this season.

Fayette Historic State Park

(Fayette Townsite) I have been here 2 times also didnt like it as much but it is still prity dam kool!!! they have some nice parks up in that end of the world!!!

My great-grandfather lived and worked at Fayette! He built some of the structures there and also played in the band. In the opera house is a larger-than-life portrait of him, holding a coronet. Such a beautiful ghost town, now, and they've done a nice job of restoring it. Its so dang hot down there in the afternoons though!

Carolyn got in an accident last night at Lexington pkwy and 94.... she had a green arrow, and some guy going the opposite direction, ran a red light and smacked into her...

her car is totalled....

she had her mom and a friend with at the time...

her mom was pretty shaken up...

was in the hospital for much of last night...

she's doing better today...

Carolyn might lose 1 or both of her jobs because of the car loss.... not sure yet

dunno what to do...

I was on the scene 15 minutes after she called me (she called me 2 seconds after it happened.... I had my shoes on, and was out the door not even a minute later)....... which is funny... because i came from Eagan which is atleast 25-30 mins...

yeah.... I topped my car out, practically all the way there....

was there for everybody all night.... and still right now...

yeah.... her mom has officially recognized me as her "son-in-law" (a little earlier than expected, but I'll deal), after everything I did last night....

I havent slept in like 2 days...

even though it was brought on by a shitty circumstance, its still worth it....

the guy is trying to claim that she's the one that ran the red-light....

anybody who's seen that intersection... or any other like it.... knows how those arrows work...

if you got a green arrow, the other direction has a red light...

pretty simple...

even the cops who were there last night, seemed to know that

evidentlly there was a "witness" to the accident....he also claims that Carolyn ran a red light... but heres the catch... he was on the same side of the intersection as the guy that hit her..... so he had no way to see what her light looked like..

even so, the insurance place is saying its looking bad on her part...

she only had liability, also.... even crappier....

i'm planning a weekend for her b-day (the 18th), that'll help her forget about some of this stuff.....

atleast for a while....
