Green where are you? I have been searching so many places I can't find everyone? Want to go dig tomorrow need partners!! San Antonio Connection gave me this link. Are you here?
GODS! My Pleco just scared the $4!t outta me!!! He was belly up under a plant, and I thought he was DEAD!!! Went crazy! But he's sucked on to a leaf!!!
A scare like that's not good with so much caffine, nicotine, and too little rest...
ATTENTION--ATTENTION--past finders of the treasure!!!! Many people would like to see a group photo for the Treasure Hunter's Guide "Hall of Fame". Please send me an e-mail to see if we can get together at the park. Give me your hunting schedule for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
I am with you, couldn't beleive, they fit so well. But in hind sight I can see how they fit a couple of other parks as well. That clear seemed like a slam dunk
Well, after slogging my way thru some 800 posts since I signed off last night, I was quite disappointed that no-one mentioned the obvious in clue 6. "A well-trained eye..." tells me that you need to have your eye trained on (looking at) a well. Someone said that's the key to the clue. Could be a hand-pumped well. Nonetheless, I agree that Phalen is falling out of favor.
Man, that - seeing the track for "chase" where if you could be an ace, would put The Med right bock in the unlocked area o'Phalen.
But couldn't bee. There is no way I'm able to figure these clues out. Like, what? I became a genius in one year? I ddddoooonnnn'tttttt ttthhhhiiiinnnnkkkk ssssssoooo!
You and me both, green (at least about becoming geniuses in a year). Though I am convinced that you'll be looking directly at some sort of well when the medallion is in hand. That's just the way the cluewriter(s) work
Good morning all. Has anyone been to the part of Battle Creek off of 61? I don't know if any of the clues fit because I haven't been there. But I do know that to be a ski jumper (I used to be one and that's what used to be on the battle creek sight off of 61) it takes a hell of alot of training.
Nope, LL, there are a few of us here. Mostly we're the ones who didn't spend the night in front of our PC's because we had to get up and go to work this morning :) (Hmm, go to work so you can do what you would have been doing while you were sleeping so you could go to work. Sounds like a catch 22 and a half, or something).
My theory is, like I've said a couple of times, that you're looking at a well (hand-pumped or otherwise) from the hiding spot (or maybe it is the hiding spot). As for the right track (new theory), it could be at a spot where a walking/biking path splits. Lord knows there are a ton of these spots on Phalen, and the ice palace island.
I'm also a bit interested in the rhyming pattern used in this year's clues: AABXAB, where X is where the first A would be in the first line of the clue. Every verse of every clue follows this pattern. I don't think its ever been done before (A hint that its in a place its never been in before?)
I'm on my way out though......
5:15 a.m. on Friday, January 28th - I'm out.
PP - I salute you! (a line from a movie)

Red, I'm here... Finally. Slept and then slogged.
BRB... gotta make some coffee...
Green:
You still going with your original theories?
I want to change your mind and get you to talk about photo #6. Check it out.
Guide, *no* need to try and change *this* mind... I'm having Crow Benedict for b'fast! :>
Nice bridge...
you got your towers, shelter, ex-tracts, Viking depression.
Guide, I don't see "Set your own pace and it could make you an ace; chase=race"
Nor, "Some places to gain relief from the rain will serve - read this well - you cooking."
And how you gonna get #5 in there... And, "A well-trained hunter stays on the right track" (*my* take o'#6)?
I'm thinking that park izz stretching things...
I don't know, Guide...
I yust don't know...

"Vikings depression" works (tho *not* possessive.......) And you could get "profitable profession" in there, as well as "rapcallion."
But 2, 4, and 5 I can't noodle there...

Battle Creek is pretty hard to beat at this point, second choice Newell
Green:
If you were working off of clear, it seemed to make the most sense to me as well, I don't know if that is saying much however.
Duff, Clear Avenue it was. But there's no way I've been able to get #6 into Phalen.

Tho, a track is laid for the car race on the lake at Phalen (south) and skis make tracks in the XCR race on the golf course...
But I think I'm stretching things here.
Good Morning - any good new thoughts this morning?

Green, do you ever sleep?
Sounded like a slam dunk to me, too! After the first four clues!
I'm wondering...
What if #6 says you have to have the correct track/track area in view?
From north o'Clear, up by the ball fields, you can see the north easter edge o'the golf course...
And south o'Clear in the area that snakes along to the south east toward the lake, you can see the lake!
I'm wondering...
Ares, I'm taking lessons from a wonderful Cooler Crew Member, and learning about micro-naps! :)
Actually I slept from 2:30 until 6:00 today.

Green-= do you think Highland and Newll are ruled out?
Logan, yes I do. My take on the clues just doesn't fit. Now watch... One o'those will be where The Med izz!
Guide, you still around???

What are everyone's thoughts on the latest clue?
Hello am I talking to myself????
Is anyone else in here or what?
It doesn't appear that there are so if someone doesn't say something pretty quick I think that I am out of here to ponder my thoughts
Well I must have scared you all away so I will be back later.
Yeah I'm here- I think Newell or maybe Linwood - but I was at Newell last year freezing my ass off for no reason!

Could "well trained eye" elude to Pig's Eye Brewery?
I was at Newell last night, about 35 people there. No bike or walking trails at Newell.
But that RR tracks are across the street from Newell
Highland, Como?, Newell,.....those are the only three that I can spring. Highland is the best fitting one. But we all know that dont mean $#!^.
Where would set your own pace fit in??
Trains are visable from cherokee...........but i still think it's near the booya building at highland(cookin)
I drove by Highland last night, there were only a couple hunters around.
Highland, Como?, Newell,.....those are the only three that I can spring. Highland is the best fitting one. But we all know that dont mean $#!^.
The funnies(or dumbest) thing I saw last night were 4 people digging on Highland Golf course
Green:
Ok, here is something that may help keep Phalen in it.
How about Ivy for a well trained I, Ivy league schools?
it is defiently a smaller park or a small piece of a bigger park because if it were como or phalen it would have ben identified by now
This is so simular to last year, dug a Newell, was sold on Battle Creek dug for two whole days and then foud out I was at the wrong end of Ruth.
Yep Thinker
