enjoy: getting a really good cash payout additional bonus this year, cause I'm so friggin awesome, and my company did really well...

slightly less enjoyable: only getting 52% of the total, cause I opted to have 401k taken out, and of course they took taxes too...

but money, is still money, and it just halved my credit card debt with one click of a mouse, so I guess I can't bitch too much.

I need to take photos of the pioneer one my Great grandparents are buried in here. It's amazing, among redwoods, on a hillside looking over the Napa Valley. Ironically, you can see their old property and house from their plots.

I'm not so sure if I enjoyed it yet or not, but I'm going back for more punishment next Tuesday.

I tooke a "core" class at the gym, figuring it would be intense pilates, maybe some ball work...

not.

Yours truely, was bench pressing, and doing tricep extensions, and had weights strapped to my ankles for leg lifts, etc. etc.

Then we did 15 minutes of abs and crunches.

I think I lost 1" of belly fat, just out of shear shock.

grey cloud island is oldschool, man....

we used to cruise there, way back in the day.... that place is supposed to be all super-haunted and stuff....

my buddy Sam wont even go near that place anymore... not even during the daytime...

back in highschool, he saw these dudes out there, one night walkin on the water and crap... straight up witch craft or something...

theres supposed to be some legend about a guy with a green lantern, who walks his dog... and if you see him, it means that you're going to die, or something like that...

also have been reported UFO sightings in that area....

I've got a video tape, that I keep under lock & key, that we caught one night, and you cant tell what the hell this thing is, thats flying around, in it...

we found a mailbox on one of the houses down there, one time that said "Arnie Carlson"... heh

got chased off of the island one night by a gang of 4 white vans, full of dudes.... they followed us down 61.... going like 70-80 MPH.... that was f'n nuts....

we all thought we were gonna die...

crazy cult fools....

I got a lotta stories about that place... havent been there in probably 6-7 years, though.....

one night we stopped in at that pizza place down there... I think its a Carbone's, or something?...

and we asked the waitress chick about the place....

she got all inquisitive about why we wanted to know stuff...

refused to serve us, and told us that we should leave...

reminded me of that old lady in The Goonies...

scary as hell, man....

I want to go there (grey cloud island). I love that kind of stuff. My sister's friend used to live out there - I will have to find out if she knows anything interesting.

The cemetary in Mendota is so cool. My former in-laws' ancestors are buried there, so I took my kids out there to look around. Looks like it could be way fun at night.

A friend and I stayed at the Boulderado Hotel in Boulder Colorado when we were there on business. That place is so haunted. We could feel it as we passed from the new addition to the original building. We went to the floor where one of the hauntings is supposed to be. Walking down the hallway, suddenly the whole hallway turned icy cold. Must have dropped 20 or 30 degrees, instantly. We both felt it, although I was about 30 feet ahead of my friend. I also saw some "energy" in the hallway - like what you'd think would happen if someone was materializing or being teletransported. It was not coming from anywhere - it just was out in the open - there for a few seconds, then gone.

theres a hotel over in Milwaukee, called the Hotel Wisconsin.... I believe its the 6th floor thats haunted... they wont let anybody stay on that floor...

thats the only hotel we stay in, over there now, after we found that out....

have had a few eerie things happen there, while staying.... i.e. - closet doors being open, when you come into the room, and you know you closed them.... water running at night, and nobody is in the bathroom, etc...

I love that place.

I used to live out there and we partied out there all the time. Talk about the stories. Damn! Floating crosses and moving grave stones, strange fricken sounds etc. There's this old camp not far from there that has this dinner bell type thing that still dings in the wind. Very spooky.

When I was in mexico, the first night we went to sleep (ok, it was like 6 am) about 30 minutes after we had turned in, the bathroom light flicked itself on (complete with squeeky fan) and then about a minute later the toilet flushed, and then the sink turned on - then the light turned off.

There were only 3 of us in the room, and we were all sitting up in bed.. so it wasn't us.

all I said was I was cemetery hoppin and look what I stirred up? heh

ok, so nothing spooky happened while I was out there all day - (except the call I got from a CoolerDude  j/k) It did get erie when I got near a mosoliun to take a couple pictures of the bars and glass windows. I could smell the lillies strongly and got real nervous - now just to see if I captured any ghostly figures in my pics. When I was in a main office looking up locations the guy said there were alot of people visiting in the cemetery today.... I saw, like 4 people all day .... ??? maybe he sees dead people. doh!

My brothers and I went to the cemetary where my grandparents are buried. Elmhurst. While there, one of my brothers wanted to go to the huge wall-type monument where his FIL is inurned. I think I have that word right...

The wall was several columns wide and several rows high. He was having difficulty reading which one was his FIL's.

I'd already spotted it, second row down, so I said, "I'll take mausoleums for 200, Alex".

well this is a complaint AND a happy note:

3m should know kinda what Im talking about here since we have the same INSURANCE plan!!!

went to pick up a prescription at Walgreens yesterday and drove away with NADA! the man says, "it's $369" - I pratically fall out of the truck! thats for 1 pill a day for 30 days!!

now mulitply that by a year!!! (for something that used to cost $15 for co-pay and the insurance company got billed for the rest-which would be usually discounted for them to pay) - This $369 was bottom line maximum Full Price cost for this drug.

I tell him I'll get back with him and left. Our insurance plan is the first $4 grand out of pocket and supposedly covered 100% after that. So, techniqually, we either want to spend as little as possible on health and let the money sit in an 1/2% interest bearing NO TAXED account or make sure we not only spend the 4 grand of ours but make sure we get the benefit of going to the doctors/getting more presciptions we can and go way over so they get a dose of making us pay higher prices than they do to our doctors- I guess I dont quite know how to say it -

I got online today and searched out my drug and found out about these prescription health cards that are FREE! so I can bring it in to Walgreens and get the same thing for less. One card made my prescription $307.00 another made it $275.00! If I buy it online through one of those websites than I can get 3 months for about $500!!!!!!! WTF!!! I hate this. I would rather pay the typical co-pay of $15 and my monthly $300 in insurance and have the rest covered 100% like it was before- The bills all go to the inusrance company and we dont see any paperwork.

I'm sure this is a better deal in the long run but --- when we hit $4000 than it comes out of pocket and the insurance company pays us back- not like we can go into Walgreens and say "hey, we maxed our $4 grand now send the bill to HSA"!

I want to hand them a card and drive away.

https://www.pparx.org/

click on Patient Start and fill out the quick form- it will give you a list of companies who offer these FREE Prescription CARDS that you can use for discounts.

sounds like the insurance my company had, everyone complained to the new owners and they switched over to a plan that money comes out of your check every week and you just pay co-pays.

oh, I forgot to mention: if you file your taxes with H&R Block or any other company they charge for the paperwork for these HSA's - you gotta claim it on your taxes - you dont pay taxes on it -just fill out a special form for it- cost:? $50!!!!!!!

making us pay higher prices than they do to our doctors

Wrong and wrong (I think)

HMO's and other plans pay the highest $ for pills and service. You get an uninsured discount if you don't have any coverage. Not sure how it works with you and your deductible though. They could really charge you full rate and say it's because you have coverage even though you're not using it for that prescription. That's why I think it's cheaper using those internet deals. but be careful since I've also heard that many pills are placebos and only there to make a quick buck.

I forgot to mention my sister pays $3 for what I'd pay $369. The $369 is about as high as it can possibly be. Even the pills website said it shouldn't be more than $10 per pill ever and Walgreens is charging $69 higher $369 to $300.

we don't get any discount on prescriptions- mark was paying about $125 a month for Lipitor - he just got on a generic for $8? a month. Unfortunately there wasnt a generic for mine.

as far as the dr. - when I used to go see him I would get the bill that would show what he charged- then the cost the insurance actually pays (which is a lower amount than the actual) and then my fee ($15.) I send in my $15.--

now I get the bill directly from the dr at full price and I have to pay it direct to the Doctor with out HSA visa credit card.

Me2 - Walgreens on average has some of the highest drug costs. I paid $25 for my inhaler there, that I usually get via longs drugs (local chain) but walgreens is 24/7 and I needed it late night for a soccer game.

Usual price for same inhaler ...$9.00

Costco is actually the lowest, and by federal law, you can get RX's there, without a membership. However you must pay with cash/check/amex/debit card as they do not take CC's.

You should talk to penny about the billing practices on the HSA plans. Usually you only have to pay the cost that the insurance company would pay. The doctor still bills you the full amount, but you need to tell them that you only have to pay the amount that insurance would pay. And yes, it should be on the HSA card. Don't pay the bill from the DR untill you get the insurance billed amount.Pennys dealt with that a lot and can answer your questions better than I can.

As far as Lipitor goes, they just now ran out the patent on it. You could not get any "generic" for Lipitor. Now you can. Penny told me that I'll be taking something different too soon, when my prescription runs out.
