It's a little hidden park, with the entrance right on the corner of 7th and PAYNE!

Is that little parking lot by the entrance plowed yet, it wasn't the other night?!

Another interesting thing about Langford - today's clue "... a lesson you need to apply" - there is a school across the street from it. That and it being real close to the Fair, next to some train tracks... Maybe...

KB...is it a magnet school?! BC has a magnet on the land too. (opposites)

Where exactly is Mears?

Lowertown St. Paul near Galtier Plaza.

Well Well Well After looking for days now I finally found you guys? Now I'm too worn out from surfing the net to look for the treasure. Ya sure.. The San Antonio kid has been calling every AM to see what I think.... Have to work today but I'll be out tomorrow.. Got a headlight hopefully that will help enlighten my brain too.

It is much better for one of the cooler posters to find the object than any other member of the general public, because we all as a unit can bask in the glory and revel at the party together!!!

Did anybody win SUN COUNTRY tickets last night and if so let's go! I can take you to some pretty incredible places for little or no cost! SKI or SURF!!

OK, so these clues seem to all be pointing to Newell... Clue 1: a St. Paul park not near a golf course; Clue 2: tennis courts; Clue 3: 2 towers north of Newell; Clue 4: picnic shelters, "will serve" = Butler (Pierce Butler), "read this well" conspicuous use fo the word well (NeWELL), kitchen facility in picnic bldg.; Clue 5: opposite of cloudy and foul = fair, the state fairground is just north of the park, and Fairview Ave. borders the park; Clue 6: "well-trained", "right track" = million train tracks between Newell and the fairgrounds...do any of the other parks fit this WELL? lol.

Pie. No hard feelings. You remind me of "Q" on star trek. Trying to get them to think outside the box....a little bit of a bother but well-liked! :)

Well, I'm back - at least for the moment.

My brand new furnace is NOT working! So, been screwing around with that in hopes we might have heat today. So far, we're only down to 65. The repair people should be here sometime this afternoon.

The worst part is, we can't go out and scope if we have to wait for the repair guy. Waaaaaahh!

TC...was at newell last night. The problem now, is simply not enough detail to tell ya where to start hacking away.

There are other clues within the clues to support your reasoning. But, as most have said, can make them fit a lot of parks still.

e&h mom: why even get it fixed until after the hunt? the nice cool temps in the house will prepare you for hours of medallion digging...

by now shouldn't we have a clue of what it's hidden in or how it's hidden.....

Maybe I'm a little gun-shy from last year, but I was at Newell last night and it could have worked, but somehow I still get the feeling that I was forcing something. I don't know if I was expecting to "see the light" like Jake in the Blues Brothers, but it seemed like I may have been 'willing' the clues to fit in Newell.

I'm thinking clue 2 could be referring to what it's hidden in - ace - package containing a deck of cards with just the aces and of course the medallion, - or an ace bandage...

If we're hung up on the Vikings theme, maybe the medallion is hidden in a football that Jake Reed dropped.

ThankYOU....I've been so lonesome thinking all on my own. The down south connection keeps calling every morning in traffic on her way to school to pick what little brain I have. I told her when I had her I gave her all the brains I had...Nothing left. I thought the Sun Country thing was 1/31 at midnight at the paper. Not so??? Is it every night??? Glad to have found everyone a lot of the fun reading the ideas of the clues you all have and I agree even though I'm new to the cooler gang I've been looking since I was a kid my grandpa was a St. Paul fire captain so you know we were big into the carnival. I hope it is a Cooler head that finds it this year.....

Duane: lol!! I am still troubled by the word astute in clue 2...I have always thought it was referring to a statue...any current thoughts on this one? I've heard people throwing around nearby schools or whatever, but that doesn't seem right to me...the word "astute" is just so obviously unscramble into "statue"....

Hi Grandma Red! Nice seeing you here and knowing the southern connection is hunting even though she can't be here.

Close--

My answer to you is maybe the cooler has collectively looked too far into the "astute" clue. I realize not a lot of things are done accidentaly with these clues, but what if we're seeing things that aren't there. Astute could mean statue, or State U or U taste...or nothing at all. Mom is a cruel woman and I plan to sue her for child abuse when this is all over...something to the tune of $10,000. Best of luck, Close.
