spending the past hour researching different spas/mud baths that offer couples treatments for when Torgy comes to visit.
He wants to go get a couples massage, and I figured it might be kinda fun to do a mud bath, and mineral spa wrap thingy along with it.
I'm not super huge into all the spa stuff, but if he digs it, we can go for an evening. Besides - they give you wine.. and its usually not crap.
doing that with a man ~ that sounds soooo wwwwonderful!
going to get my beans and taking her to get a manicure ---Im getting a well deserved pedicure!! I cant wait!!! She has been gone on a 3 day school field trip - I can't wait to go get her soooo see you all later when I have soft pretty feet!!!!
The most beautiful blonde just came into my office. His name is Harley, he has hair like early 80's David Lee Roth, and the softest wettest tongue and sweetest puppy breath ever.
Guys from a temp agency soliciting our building giving out candy.
Heh, turned that around on them. They were looking to see if we had any need for temps, but then my coworker and I asked if they had any after hours part time jobs. Gonna send em my resume.
(basically if I can't get time off, I might as well work some more and pay my car off).
both smoothered in dill pickle relish (0) and mustard (0)
ASIDE from the fact that I stuck the dogs in the nuker here at work, and they weren't on a grill (eh - its work, what can i say?) I think it was the BEST friggin hotdog I've had in years that wasn't like some strange gourmet flavor.
Those dogs are PURE beef, and sooo frickin good.
Heaven. Pure freakin heaven for 3 points. That means I still have 17 points for dinner.
going to my grandparents today to do more cleaning n in a closet finding my GFs secret stash or nervous pills n smelling salts.
finding an entire box of my dads cloths in his closet like he would one day be back to wear them. complete with shoes.
finding a late 1800s rifle. a second stock. a bayonette (sp?) and a hunting knife of my dads
old property deeds and one that i think may be an indian treaty for our old deer lease.
more and more stuff of my dads that makes him so much more human to me. i would give anything to have just an hour with him. i have so many things i want to know. for starters did he even know i was going to exist?
bought a memory book today. it has one page for every day. they are large pages n you write on them events that happened on that date (year doesnt matter) as a sort of living history.
As ive been going through the house and the paperwork ive been documenting things. its helping me put things in a sort of order that oneday will be a complete record with lots of really cool old docs.
My mother kept a diary when she was a young girl and then a young woman. She used to talk about needing to burn it but never did. They're in my closet. I haven't read them. I really want to because I'd like to read about her life as a young girl in the early 1900's, but don't feel it would be the honorable thing to do because she didn't want anyone reading them. But I can't make myself get rid of them.
I have saved some clothes too. A couple of sweaters of my mothers and a favorite dress, and a slew of Ted's denim shirts that I still wear and a complete suit of clothes. I'm a""saver".Sounds as though your grandfather was too.
We took it with us to Florida and ac eraged 37 miles per gallon, according to the onboard computer. We didn't think of doing it the right way... but we filled up when we left, and filled up halfway there, and topped off when we arrived there. I think it has to be a fairly accurate estimate anyway.
Much better than the 12-14 miles per gallon (@$3.25 here) in my Jeep...
Enjoy: My neighbors pitching in and mowing my lawn right now so I can keep concentrating on funeral arrangements. Our neighbors kick ass!! :frown:
Also enjoy: How beautiful my wife looks in today's paper. I know it might be just me, but she sure does light up the page.
That is great about your neighbors... My neighbors wouldn't get that treatment from me... Most I'd give them in their time of need is their dogs crap back. (they bring them over and they crap in our front yard...)
That's good to know! We do a lot of freeway driving on the weekends so better gas mileage is a definate plus considering what we had to pay this weekend.
Enjoy: Receiving a mother's day card from my college-student son and his girlfriend, with lilacs on the front of it (one of my favorite flowers!). And receiving a beautiful arrangement of tulips from my older son and his wife. First time they have sent me flowers - such a "grown-up" thing to do!
Enjoy: Talking to Drummer the other night - he finished his second semester of college - again with all As. After what he went through from ages 15-25 and his first attempt at college, this is such wonderful news!!! One very relieved mom here, knowing that he seems to be on the right track now...
my granma was. she kept the registration of my dads corvair current for 10 years. his room at her house was pretty much as he left it. (she lived a mile from his job so he would go over there on breaks a lot cause our house was 20 miles away) the only major change in that room was my baby crib. which was his and also that of my sisters that had been stored in the garage between them me.
she adored him (perhaps spoiled him alittle too much) every photo find of him says "the babe" on the back rather than his name. even into adulthood.
That is a gorgeous picture in the paper that was chosen for her. Even better in color. After what I heard about her in here, and after reading the paper, she sounds like an amazing woman. You have been truly blessed, CM.
(not that I don't have a gazillion t-shirts, but something about new ones makes me so happy)
getting tickets to see the twins play the A's on the 2nd of June (I WILL be wearing a Twins Jersey btw..)
which means, I guess I better get back online and see about finding a cute pink one.
I need one of those!
Enjoy: Wearing a skirt/heels and makeup to work, and people telling me I look nice, and not asking me if I have a job interview.
I don't.. I have dinner with my cult tonight for our annual mothers day meeting.. but I kinda like shocking them.
I just got to watch a real live citizenship ceremony here in Landmark Center
a couple hundred people from so many countries all over the world becoming citizens of the United States!!
I got all teared up and applauded!
but just about anything can make me cry today. :frown:

Heh, turned that around on them. They were looking to see if we had any need for temps, but then my coworker and I asked if they had any after hours part time jobs. Gonna send em my resume.

little pug/bulldog mix....cute..
but he slobbered all over my feet.......but I don't know who liked it more...me or him.
I LOVE when they come visit me.
pretty odd considering the name of my company.
They outlawed us bringing our dogs to work, to hang under our desks about 2 years ago. That was a bummer. Mine used to LOVE coming to work with mama.

....well, maybe for a day
Nice car! My wife has an '02.... compared to the other cars we have had, it feels like a Cadillac...
Congrats!

Just saw your edit - yes, she does look so beautiful in that pic. Hugs to you - so surreal to see her name and pic in that part of the newspaper.
