poor thing... now they have her lying on her side. The baby is supposed to be big.. maybe in the 9lb range... her blood pressure (mysticals) is begining to be elevated... no one has said c-section yet but we think it might be coming.
OK... news just in... they are gonna do a c-section. Everyone please say a prayer for mom and baby (or send good vibes :smile: ) will let you know as soon as little Kaitlynn arrives.

We just came home from the hospital today :smile: I have some pics up of baby Kaitlynn on my myspace site.. .www.myspace.com/mystical_muzik if anyone wants to see em :smile: I dunno how to post them up here otherwise I would.. lol so if anyone wants to copy and paste em and post em.. go for it :smile: I feel great, and the baby is doing wonderful!! After 8.5 hrs of labor, and a last minute c-section, she was worth every ounce of pain!
Yup... omg I wouldn't wish Pitocin on my worst enemy!! Kaitlynn just didn't wanna come out.. lol for anything! Like Sue said, they tried everything they could. The even upped the Pitocin really high thinking the contractions would push her into the birth canal, but it just wasn't happening. Finally my OB came into my room that day about 4ish and was like ok, I can't stand to see you in this much pain any more. She even had tears in her eyes. So she said either A: The baby's a lot bigger than they had thought, B: my pelvis was a lot smaller than they thought, or C: they needed to do a C-Section. LOL all I remember saying is.. please.. just get her out. It wasn't long after that that they prepped me for the O.R. I was pretty much in and out w/in an hour. They did a really really good job. Hell I was even up walking around a few hours after my surgery.
Aww she is adorable MM!! I know I'm a couple weeks behind but I just talked to TC and read on here about your delivery I had a similar situation did pitocin for 7 hours and I didn't dilate at all!! Water broke 8 am at 3 I wasn't having contractions so they started pitocin 7 hours later I ended up with a C-Section too...I'll take a C-section over labor anyday!! HAHA anyways I can't wait to see you guys and meet your new addition to the family!
See my thing was, they broke my water about 7-7:30 in the morning, I was dialated to like 3, and then they started the pitocin right away and I dialated from 3 to like 9 in just a few hrs, but then I stalled. After like 8.5 hrs of hard labor my ob said enough was enough, brought up the option of C-Section, and I just told em to take her! LOL I remember while I was on the operating table I was cracking jokes because I was still really loopy from the Nubain and my OB was like ok are you ready? and I was like.. Get er done!! OMG I'm such a freakin geek! LOL :grin:

Prepare her for the baby's head to be elongated from being in the birth canal so long. But it will go back to normal really fast.

They say kids are resiliant and will survive. They often do and grow to be decent adults.
But kids aren't as resiliant as adults think they are. The abuse and the trauma stay with them in one way or another.
