For those that weren't there - my avatar was taken 1 minute before Santa Dave left us last night. I think it sums up a lot about a fun-loving beautiful personality.
And thank you all for the positive support shown towards Ali & I. I can't describe the last 24 hours. I am so so beat right now. The fumes I was running on have disappeared long ago. I'll post more later. I just don't have the energy right now. :frown:  :frown: :asleep:
It really hit me yesterday at the memorial service with how many Cooler Crew members came to support him. At first I was amazed that so many people showed up, and somewhat confused to be quite honest. However when I started thinking about the reasons I decided to attend, it became extremely clear; because Brad has had a positive effect on so many people much like he has on me. Whenever I see him, he always has a smile on his face the kind of smile that you know he wants you to be happy too, and it always works. He has a kind word to say to everyone, and usually something funny to say as well, and something else that I can't quite put into words maybe but the end result is always the same, when you get done talking to him you are happier then you were before you started talking to him.
One good example of this was when we were at Matty B's one night for the 2nd hunt and there was a stranger in the bar that seemed to be a medallion hunter and I thought he might know of the Cooler Crew but didn't really know anyone, he was sitting alone kind of off to the side and seemed maybe a little sad to be sitting alone next this large group. I felt he needed to be included but didn't feel comfortable approaching him... I knew just the guy! I found Brad and when I pointed the guy out Brad went right over to him and struck up a conversation. This guys face went from somewhat sad, and little emotion to a large beaming smile! They chatted for I'm not sure how long, but if I could have taken a before and after picture of this guys face that would be the best way to describe the effect that Brad has on people.
Brad, I've said it before and I will continue to say it because I truly do mean it: I love you. You are an awesome friend, and an awesome man.
Brad has the rare ability to make each and every one of us feel special. Watching him yesterday at Amy's visitation, I noticed he had something personal to say to everyone.
THen there she was. Gorgeous sandy blonde hair, a smile to put angels in awe. And her eyes, of the deepest Irish green, with just a hint of smoked hickory near her iris. I can still smell the sea breeze from that day.
The clouds were rushing in as if they were being drug against their will by Death's horses themselves. The moon, while not full was struggling to stick around.
Laying her down on the luscious grass, and after removing the 2" lucite disk that was beneath her head that was hidden the past January for 10,000 unlucky treasure hunters, Steve sat back and adored her. Nothing in life was as sweet as the feeling she had when he gently stroked her neck. The warm breath on her collar sent tingles down her spine that could have been measured on a richter scale. His soft gentle kisses near her ear tempted her to ecstacy. Leaning up just a little she returned the pillowy kisses. Taking his head in her hands she eased him unto her, to ensure that the closeness they were sharing would not slip away. Was it the champagne they shared, or the love they had for each other that was making them feel this way? Without a care in the world, they continued in their own special way to consumate their now escalated relationship... (This was considerably shortened due to this has most likely got to be a PG rated forum, I would imagine.... )
I was planning on spending a day watching/searching for anything Price Is Right type 'marathon' on utube soon. I was wondering if they would put out a series on dvd maybe even - that would be cool! I just love Price is Right.
