Someone posts on this forum somewhere that logs in as David Dean. One time I asked DDY if that was him (his middle name was Dean). It wasn't, but I always think of him when I see that in the who's here list.
ya know, tc and i were just talking. with everything thats happened in the last week, next year's cooler crew button needs to be shrouded like the cops do on their badges when they lose one of their own.
I can get more links if you guys want options. Though you may want to hold off on the thin blue line ones.. I want to double check to make sure they're for mourning, and not something else.
wow I just got the news about Santa Dave this morning. It's so sad :frown: He really was a wonderful man. I liked him a lot. There was just something about him... he had that twinkle in his eye, that special glow, almost like an angel really. He will be missed by many many people. RIP Dave!!
Just talked with Jake who talked with a relative (daveys sister?) who said there would be a funeral in Worthington.
I'm gonna come back and read Terrys words and post pics and read and post on cc.com
I just can't do it right now :frown:
With all the things we learn about the ones who leave us, I'm thinking we need to pick a person every other day and learn and say everything we can about them so we can grasp the wonderful tributes before they are gone :frown:
Speaking of; OT was generous enough to buy my Amy her own star. And it too is located in the NW sky. I hope the clouds break tonight so we can get a look at all three of them. We were able to see Amy's star as bright as day two nights ago. Thanks again OT. Very cool idea.
This might be more of an ask Kitch thing. But does anyone have a good idea where I can find either a website or a good book or something on looking up odd china etc. etc. etc.
I found some that is from Japan, and some that is from England. A couple of Currier and Ives plates etc. etc. etc.
Ebay is a good place to find out how much people will actually pay for something too. Sometimes the replacement sites place a high value on something, but good luck getting that for it.
This isn't going so swell.. out of the 20 different items I've googled so far - this is the only one I can find an exact match for. It's worth a whopping $3.99, and the shipping should I buy it - would be $7 something. wow.
Apparently this Sadler guy - who my teapot is by made a ton of them, however the number I have on the bottom of my teapot, when i google that pattern - it's not the same on any page. grrr.
and i created a thread for dave memories, just like what we had when kirk passed away.
This is really hard.
That is awsome Ares!

If we don't cover it all on the first time around we can always cover new stuff the next time their chance comes up.

remember antiques is a strange industry...its only worth what somebody will pay you for it...
At one time I had 3 or 4 full 6 packs of billy beer...at one time worth about 400 each...now i'm lucky to get 25 bucks for one.
But some of it is really sorta strange looking, and I want to know more about it.
Suppose I should google the names I find at the bottom of the cups too.
But I'll try that link OT. Thanks!!!!
