Coco and I can't go unfortunately. She is flying to Chicago for a wedding, and I can't get work off since I just recently started. Wish we could make it down there. :frown:
Not sure. I'm still trying to track down his car to see if they want it driven down there or not. I have a message for the IGHPD to call me tomorrow. I'll contact the funeral home to to see if they have his sisters number. Majors didn't do anything with it. Otherwise I'm not sure about going.
The cops had his keys. But I would assume that someone would need to complain in order for it to be towed. Did anyone see where he parked? Maybe in the theater lot where Becksie was?
I didn't know whitney wrote this until yesterday morning. I was talking with her teacher, mentioning I would be gone Friday and someone else would pick Whitney up from school. Whitney spoke up and told me she wanted to be at his funeral and that she was there when he died and it meant alot to her and then she asked "didn't you see my post?"... I tried to convey it is a long drive but then she even wrote a small essay on why she wanted to be there...I've decided to let her say her respects and come along.
I appreciate it Dubble-R but Whitney has your last seat. I still have to see what's up with Dave's car. If I can get it and they want me to drive it down there, I might hit you up for the ride back. Kitch can sit on my lap like he always does. :sheepish:
I went with the Rainbow Basket - reminded me of all the rainbows y'all saw soon after he died, and also of his own rainbow connection to the Wizard of Oz.
The card will say "In loving memory of Santa Dave from The Cooler Crew".
Life is short
Forgive quickly,
Kiss slowly,
Love truly,
Laugh uncontrollably,
And never regret anything that made you smile.
Life may not be the party we hoped for,
But while we're here we should dance
Thanks for posting that Becksie. My mom does indeed rock!
good news to come
fingers crossed
We could also do a convoy if people want as well.
