No, thank you KC.

KC is going to do my whinewear web page! Me so lucky!

Vino isn't the good golfer Me2. Vino is the stroke of luck golfer. They guys were all really really good.

Sounds like a pizza tasting challenge should be set up.

Me2 - how can you not love the sleazy atmosphere? and the drunks at 1 am who wander in from the slimeball bar across the street. As a teen - I would beg my uncle to take me for pizza late at night there - just to watch the drama.

I'd go but I don't want to smell up my suit and know that once I get home I'm staying put since I have a way early day again tomorrow.

Speaking to the majority of the building about fire escapes while walking up and down 56 stories of stairs all day in a hot fricken suit. :coolfrown:

Definitely NOT in the mood

Getting our 'wellness' screening at work today.

My cholesterol was 169/42 - which is really good. my Glucose is 90 - right in the middle and my BP was 107/61 with a 58 pulse.

Thats all good - I don't know what it was pre- weightwatchers/gym, but I now have a target to aim for maintaining and improving.

So, true, Terry.

Da Yooper proposed on the same beach where he'd given me his Latin Club pin 33 years earlier. He wrote in the sand "W.Y.M.M.?" - just as we always did on our snail-mail letters to one another. He then asked me out loud, so that there should be no doubt of what that meant. I answered by writing in the sand "Y!" with a verbal "Yes" as well. We were married on that beach six days later. Only on our first anniversary did I realize he'd kept the little sand-writing stick as a memento of the occasion - very sweet and touching.

I love George Carlin....

George Carlin's Solution to Save Gasoline

Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants! That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would come down.

Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border. When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq . Tell him if he wants to come to America , then he must serve a tour in the military.

Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot.

This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo. Problem solved.

I think I just ate the best hamburger I've ever had.

I normally get a philly beef sammy at this place on University...but today I wasn't that hungry...so I thought I'd just try a mushroom swiss burger...

Well...its loaded...

Fried Onions, Mushrooms, chopped lettuce, Swiss, tomato, the complete works...and it had to be at least a 1/2lb. on a oversize bun.

With fries and a bottle of pop like $5....

I think the name of the place is Chicago Grill on University and Hamline...(kinda near Little Ceasers)

A little bit of a rougher neighborhood...but I found out years ago...some of the best foods are in these types of areas...

('specially bbq)

Kitch - University and Hamline is mild as far as neighborhoods go. Mostly businesses with housing north of University - except for the Towers apartment building closer to Lexington on the south side of Univ.

I grew up about 5 blocks from there.

Is that the newer place in the Midway Center?

We'll need to check that out this coming week.

We live in what is supposedly a much rougher neighborhood...and other than prostitutes hanging around now and again, we've not had any trouble...not even a break in.

That is unlike when we were in what was supposed to be a much better neighborhood.

Thanks for the information on the new food place. I believe that's where Boza donuts was up until a few months ago.

Any of you have police helicopters circle your house with the spot lights in your back yard at least 1x a month - and I'll give you the award for worst 'hood.

Just last week, I was coming home and I couldnt turn into my driveway - cause cops had a guy on the ground putting cuffs on him. It's actually gotten better. The police copters in the summer used to be way more frequent. :ooh:

So far I've walked an hour a day since last Tuesday. It's a small step, but a good one.

(I also cut back on pop, besides the fact it's better for me, I think pop tastes better if ya only have it once in a while).

Good Job KC! I didn't get much exercise except for playing 2 soccer games short this weekend & lifting boxes at my grans house. I should have fit in an hour or two more cardio along the way.

Frodo and I have been able to get out walking again. It will be so good for both of us. So far, we are just doing leisurely strolls around the park at the harbor, but it feels so good to get out early in the morning (well, early for me, anyway!) and get moving.

This one is kinda a half and half:

Chick in my cult - who takes every opportunity she can - to take shots at me. She thinks that if she talks loud enough and long enough people will listen.

Well today in a diatribe email to the entire club, she attacked me pretty good and my campaign for regional director (uncalled for - but since she was having an adulterous affair with the guy running against me, and has now befriended his soon to be wife - she feels she needs to support him I guess)

I am in the middle of drafting my response which will go out to our 70 odd members that she has just attacked me infront of, saying that if she would have read down the second paragraph of what she was responding to, she'd realize that everything she had just said was unfounded.

Furthermore, I went on to say, that if she shut her trap for longer than 20 seconds, and actually listened instead of running her mouth, repeating everything until it was beat to death like a dead horse, she'd actually know something, and could then perhaps take an educated shot at me.

She's pissed at me this week - cause last thursday I corrected some mis-information she had infront a group of newbies.

>shakes head<< I'm so tired of the B.S., and the childish games. I really just want to beat her a$$. I know it won't actually help - but it would make me feel better.

before writing my response I went to the gym and ran 3.5 miles on the treadmill to get my anger out. (it worked kinda) :eyeroll:
