I thought it would be nice to have a spot for us to share our memories of Dave, just like we did with Kirk, and we can get them passed along to his family.
is it the one thats right off 60 just north of town?? I drive past that one 5 nights a week!!! and it would be nice to know so I could give him a wave ever night as I pass!!
I am saving the images related to Santa Dave and will put them into a MyPublisher layout, along with stories and memories. Will let you know when they are ready. I hope to get them done and shipped before I come down to the cities in mid-June. More later - when I'm ready to order copies. I did a children's book (my mother was author and my aunt was illustrator) and this company does a very nice job.
This is Margie and now you all have my email as well. I am still recieving calls from freinds that just heard of Davids passing. He has a far reach of freinds from every walk of life.
Thank you for everything that you did for David in every form and keep his spirit alive by taking care of each other in that way.
I will call and talk to Scott Hansen today and see what he have up his sleeve, and as soon as that information is figured out you all will be the first to know.
Scott called me back. He is culling the line up and starting to see what dates work for the talent. After that - he will touch back with me regarding the details.
He wants to set it up to include a bbq and silent auction. After we get the initial scheduling down - I'll have more info.
I've got one for Becksie and Jess since they didn't make it. If there is anyone else that wants one than let me know, I grabbed extras just for that reason!
This, in part, of an email from Stanley - the gentleman that sat with us at the funeral. The one with the white beard and mustache that placed the Santa coat in the casket...
Thank you so very much for everything that was done for DAVE YOUNG.
Fri. I thanked Scott Hansen personally at Knickelbys.
Commedians event at the flame cafe hopefully about 10 days away; Scott letting me know details?
If any of the Friends of Dave who attended the funeral have any pictures they would like to share, I, Esther, Dave's cousin, accidently deleted all the pictures on my camera, and am very disappointed with myself, as I am sure you understand. My e-mail address is Craftyring@knology.net and I would most appreciate any anyone of you could send me. Again, thank you all for being there.
Thank you so very much. I am so appreciative of your response. I am e-mailing all photo's on to Dave's sister, Martha, and two elderly relatives who were physically unable to attend the services. You guys are a great bunch. You brought the "Dave as Santa, and Dave as Hit Man, and Dave in the Cooler Crew" to us. This was the Dave we did not know. Thank God for all of your input. It was a blessing to have all of you there, who could make it.
I am the cousin, back in Florida, who sat with Martha, during the services. I have read all the "on line" things that I can find. If, and when you have a Gathering in the Cities for the possible Park Bench, I will contribute to that. My sister, in Brewster, who does not do Internet, will come, if possible. My sister, Mary is Margie's Mom, and Margie and Launie, (my son), did most of the "on the spot work" that day.
Dear Brad--Thank you so much for sending your photos to Esther, my cousin. She just sent them to me. They are great! We really appreciate all you've done for Dave and for us and that you came and contributed to the services. You made his life more complete for us.
Dave and I corresponded infrequently, and usually about relatives or business. He would mention doing Santa Dave, hunting for the medallion, dining out with friends, going to the comedy clubs and the fair, but never in the detail that we got from the Cooler Crew stories. We really appreciate you all sharing that with us; filling in the blanks so to speak. I learned to appreciate him more.
Please let me know about progress on the fund-raising for the bench, how much you will need, because I would like to contribute.
Thanks again for everything.

Stanley - Dave's friend with the twisty beard/mustache that was at the funeral - copied me in an email he sent to Scott Hansen asking for confirmation about a tribute to DDY this coming Tuesday. If anything more comes to me about this, I will post it here.
The original email Stanley sent to Scott Hansen was answered by a different Scott.
Hi Stanley,
I do not understand this e-mail. What is a flame program?
Scott Nystrom
So Stanley's reply:
Some ideas floated around about a project that could develope at the Flame cafe on nicolett or maybe it was the Market barbecue that was
a favorite of DAVE'S. More news to share as it firms up. Stay tuned!
Respectfully,

Me thinks that Stanley may have gotten the wrong Scott in the first place and who knows what's going on or.... I am thinking this Scott Nystrom was blind copied on the original email and then replied to all...does that even work?
At any rate, I've posed the question to Stanley and will let you know if I find out anything.
but they are in my gps which is in my car right now...
Will be fun when all the pics are posted - was a "fabulous" day spent with "fabulous" people......

Stanley,
Who is Scott Nystrom? You sent this to Scott Hansen and received a reply from Scott Nystrom. Did you blind copy Scott Nystrom too?
Terry
And his reply...
You guessed it. sorry about the confusion.
Past years Scott Nystrom and DAVE worked at the same company.
Any news from Scott Hansen?
Tue 12th there's a screening of the movie "DEATH AT A FUNERAL" in the Uptown area Lagoon theater at 7:30 ; free too!
I feared a conflict might possible occur; DAVE's event would come ahead of anything!!!
Thanks'
