I grew up in Princeton and graduated from Princeton HS.(NHS and cheeleader
   ) a couple years ago.
Princeton is on the Rum River. There are many city roads that come to an end next to the river. The Depot is on one and has a park. My sister was there searching all day. The library is on one also. I think it is at the libary on the grounds around there somewhere...
I am going up there Thursday and meeting DD - to hunt for the med. (if it has not been found) and to watch the parade - if anyone would like to go let me know.
BTW, the women who found the medallion at Central this past year have found the Manitou Days medallion like 5 years in a row. We really should try to snatch it from them this year.
So it was already gone when I got there. Also, the land across the street from the park is marked for development and presumably private property. Lame.
so I went in and got a roseville button the other day. The ladies at the desk at city hall still recognize me. I got the "Hey, didn't you find it a couple years ago?" Heh I wasn't to say, well, no, mucluck found it, I just cashed in.
However, I will warn you that some parks arent mentioned as they are Anoka County Parks. Two come to mind, Castle Heights, and Kordiak, both of which are on 49th Ave.
Oh.. fyi.. I have no clue where the med was hidden the past three years. I never even knew Col. Hts. had a hunt!!! Go my hood for getting in the spirit!
.... I still like you though ::sigh::

Relax. I'm by the trees.
(hah! the library)
It was found behind the Princeton Library on the back of a fence post.
Good call D4I!
I have a few extra buttons if anyone needs them. Otherwise, I think there's plenty around Hugo yet.
Clues are posted at: The Citizen Newspaper
Hunt runs through this Sunday at Noon ~ Clues are released at 8AM and 5PM daily.
White Bear Lake - Manitou Days - Starts June 21st
Oakdale - Summerfest - June 18th through 24th
There’s a saying that’s going ‘round
Thirty-six square miles of town:
“I go, you go, we all go to Hugo,”
Treasure hunters there are bound.
(Nowhere else will “Spike” be found.)
Clue #2
Only renegades and fools
Hunt for “Spike” without the rules;
Shovels, spades and scoops are banned
This hunt must not get out of hand.
(Shovels thus are contraband.)
Clue #3
Treasure hunters now are bidden,
“Spike” on public land is hidden;
No need then to think of trespass
Keep in mind that weÂ’re not kiddinÂ’.
(Even if youÂ’ve got a press pass.)
Clue #4
A treasure hunter in good stead
Is called upon to use his head;
Grab a compass and these clues --
And do what Horace Greeley said.
Clue #5.
Thirty, they say, is “over the Hill.”
But youth didnÂ’t save poor Jack & Jill:
At thirty, we think the fun begins,
Though somebody loses, somebody wins.
Clue #6.
Savvy seekers know their role
And search out every dale and knoll
From early light to last good-night:
Treasure hunts can take their toll.
Clue #7.
The grassy hillside was the grail
For three kids in the well-known tale.
(They almost were the plat du jour!)
If finding “Spike” remains your goal,
YouÂ’ll likely have to bribe the troll
Always rise from the table with an appetite, and you will never sit down without one.
Horace Greeley
Apathy is a sort of living oblivion.
Horace Greeley
Common sense is very uncommon.
Horace Greeley
Ease up, the play is over.
Horace Greeley
Fame is a vapor, popularity an accident, and riches take wings. Only one thing endures and that is character.
Horace Greeley
Go West, restaurant company. Horace Greeley
Go West, young man, and grow up with the country. Horace Greeley
Go west, young man. Horace Greeley
I am the inferior of any man whose rights I trample underfoot.
Horace Greeley
I never said all Democrats were saloonkeepers; what I said was all saloonkeepers are Democrats.
Horace Greeley
Journalism will kill you, but it will keep you alive while you're at it.
Horace Greeley
The darkest hour in any man's life is when he sits down to plan how to get money without earning it.
Horace Greeley
The illusion that times that were are better than those that are, has probably pervaded all ages.
Horace Greeley
There is no bigotry like that of "free thought" run to seed.
Horace Greeley
I'm not familiar with hugo.
Just trying to help ya out.
All great quests beget a story.
Hunters who aspire to glory
Will find the tour as token sure
TheyÂ’ve entered FortuneÂ’s territory.
look forward to wbl and oakdale this year- last year was just too close! --- remembering me and becks in the rain and 3m
I want Stillwater... and even though its not worth anything, and I'd be stealing it from little kids - I also want Rosemount.
I've been all over that piece, the last 2 years though....
I could walk with my eyes closed through any one of those parks, and know where everything is.....
Thursday 6/21 - 7:30pm
Tim Mahoney plays at the Roseville band shell, Central Park, to kick off the 2007 Rosefest....first medallion hunt clue given there.
Monday 6/25 - 6:15 pm. Rose Parade
I am considering a gathering at my home after the parade - let me know if you are interested

It's time again to take a little voyage.
A plane ride across the sea is not required.
A place close to home is your best bet.
For gateways and castles will not a medallion get.
#2
Now let's get in gear.
Don't waste your time looking where the medallion has been the last three years.
#3
There's no reason to stand on a hilltop in search of the keyes.
Just follow the clues to victory.
#4
If you're looking to take a rest,
this park would be best,
but wiat too long and the medallion may be gone.
I will stop and get clues periodically through this hunt, seeing as how the clue place is a block from my work.
However, I will warn you that some parks arent mentioned as they are Anoka County Parks. Two come to mind, Castle Heights, and Kordiak, both of which are on 49th Ave.
