Allison--I'm with you, I don't think the medallion will bu buried this year. My thinking is that we had virtually no snow until 2 weeks ago. I think they came up with a plan that would work in the event wen continued to have a snowless winter!
maybe the whole 2000 winter carnival clue hunt is a tribute to mash
Or maybe they feel that we'll all have a heart attack or a brain aneurysm trying to solve their clues so we should be close to a Mobile Armored Surgical Hospital!
From 7th & Mounds blvd, go south. Parking is almost directly across from Payne Ave. There is a traffic light there. I don't know if it's been plowed or not.
There's another entrance at the other end. From 7th, (going N or NE) turn left on to Greenbriar. It dead ends at the park.
if i block the parks from my mind... this is what i get out of the clues: #1: Dont be sad the Vikes lost.... get out and join the hunt... also stay off the golf course (pretty simple i think) #2: set your own pace could make u an ace simply in my opinion says dont read in to them too deep... a forewarning four clues 3-5 2nd half dont know about.Ace could be what its hidden in #3: A tower or two or the #2 visable to the north... reading it simple at my own pace as #2 says #4: no ideas but very important #5: also no ideas but very important also... remember to read them for what they saay with a lil hidden meaning #6: this is what links this theory for me... a well trained "Eye" (ours reading the clues) ia 1 reason we as good hunters will stay in track(seeing what we need to in 3-5) I think 6 is a reminder of stay on the right thought process by not digging to deep... setting us up to give away the park and zero in from there...3-5 should gel for us then.
ok i respect the fact the no one respects simplicity but we dont have the park name so why not take it for face value until we can put more together... any responses?
A hawkeye is more of a natural ability as oppose to a trained eye. And if they meat hawkEYE,they would not use the word eye, but rather keen vision or something.
werentany-- i agree that one should not read too much into the clues, but i think there will always be a somewhat hidden clue, and i think all the clues will actually help pinpoint the park; they won't put one in just to say "don't read too much into the clues." At least that's my humble opinion, take it or leave it.
I am pretty sure of this much: Newell isn't the place.
Allison-- I was thinking of keen, too, but I thought it would be a street name, and as far as I can tell, there is no Keane, Keen, or anything similar. Do you have further insight into this word?
well all im off to the bank.. battle creek by 61 is on the way so ill let everyone know whats up out there as i drive by cya in a while good hunting all
doc, do you make midway area fit better than newell? I like midway but newell seems to connect better. Nice to hear you're a GLer. Like to think of myself as one...

LOL @ Werentany
Yes, not to be confused with Klingon Park (all those star TRACK) references in the clues!
Radar was from Iowa...
Radar = Hawkeye = Pierce
Radar is Hawkeye!
Alan - do you know how to access Swede Hollow now? If not I can help you.
maybe the whole 2000 winter carnival clue hunt is a tribute to mash
still do not. I will probably be able to figure it out in the daytime, I have terrible night vision.
H=Where's ferret face park?
Or maybe they feel that we'll all have a heart attack or a brain aneurysm trying to solve their clues so we should be close to a Mobile Armored Surgical Hospital!
rofl shoveler very good point... gonna take that into consideration...hehehe
Ferret Face...LMAO!!!!
what are all the parks that are in Ramsey county anyone of them or a place to get a list of them?
The medallion is in ST. PAUL
Kiwi you can buy The treasure hunters guide to the St Paul Parks at bookstores in St Paul
Hey Kiwi
St. Paul is like the opposite of Korea. The medallion is in Korea.
Kiwi if yo want to go out looking I won't be able to go until Jeremy gets home because Jake is sick.
Swede Hollow:

What does...LMAO mean? Does it mean I'm acronym illiterate?
So I take it that no one likes the Iowa hawkeyes thing?
is there, or is there not, public land around midway stadium (ball PARK) in st. paul?!
I so want to hunt down the guy (and it has to be a guy no female would be this bad) that writes these and ask him what the hell he was thinking.
LMAO = Laughing my A$$ off
I have heard several people say no public property around Midway

Thank you to E&HM
yes the parking lot and north of the lot is public land run by st paul parks...at midway that is
I dont follow that Hawkeye part of it at all...I think we are missing the mark...
Working:
Welcome to Acronyms 101
LOL: either "Laughing out loud" or "Lots of Laughs"
ROF: is "Rolling on floor", usually precedes LOL
PMP: peeing my pants
LMAO: laughing my @$$ off
Well-trained can anagram into in red wallet, Read that a few 100 posts back.

Troy and Kitty I figured that out....may be what its in
its always in something white to blend in with the snow... and if the concept of some is its not in the snow... red is the last color ot would be in
Allison-- I was thinking of keen, too, but I thought it would be a street name, and as far as I can tell, there is no Keane, Keen, or anything similar. Do you have further insight into this word?
If you look at the clues most of them are sports related, golf, tennis, baseball...... any ideas
Triad Newell is also in there though
The Skoal tin a few years back wasnt white...just a thought
trained eye... needle/space needle at the fair should at least be seen from locale. anyone else? this still supports newell, midway, longford
well all im off to the bank.. battle creek by 61 is on the way so ill let everyone know whats up out there as i drive by cya in a while good hunting all
No, its not always in something white, just often.
And I wasn't suggesting keen, just using it as a sample clue of what it might have read if they DID mean Hawkeye.
What do I think? Isn't the muscular part of the eye (the part that could be trained through exercise?) the iris?
doc, do you make midway area fit better than newell? I like midway but newell seems to connect better. Nice to hear you're a GLer. Like to think of myself as one...
Isn't the Iris the colored part of the eye?
Clue number 2 "If your grasp of these clues is astute"...I think it has hidden meaning other than the staue anagram....
What about Linwood park, is that already out of the question?
the tower of the horticulture building at the fair is also visable from newell
oops Statue
the garage logic think tank is busy pondering all possibilities and we may even have to go tail gate while waiting for the next clue
