Yep, Terry. The iris is the colored part of the eye. The black spot is the pupil (hmm, if we see a clue with a link to students...), and its covered by the cornea
Just in case you got the idea you wanted to cruise around Swede Hollow (and it doesn't seem to score very high in the ranking right now)...
I think I may have given you a bum direction for the upper part of the park - I said to turn on Greenbriar, and I'm not sure that's the name of the St. as it crosses 7th. A better one would be Maria.
The streets are really a mess in that area - start and stop without warning!
Ok.............brainstorm here...........what about that little park on corner of dale and university.............it has a farmers market there in summer.....former sight of faust theatre.............Where else in midway other than midway stadium like I've been saying all along
There are still quite a few places the thing could be and I am stumped. Not to many people out looking at about noon time either, I suppose some people work during the day.
I had a thought last night and it's been sticking w/ me ever since....about clue 5
"opposites attract" & "cloudy and foul"
I started thinking of Phalen and the lake itself is large with clear blue water. Now the opposite of the lake is Round Lake, which is a tiny lake right to the west of Lake Phalen....not to mention that Round's water is definately "cloudy and foul"
They both "attract" because there are bike/walking tracks around them both and people go around both of them.
Then i thought of "mood" and thought that it would have been too obvious if they would have said "Even if the water is cloudy and foul" so they used "your mood" to kinda throw people off.
I thought it was a good....different take on clue 5....any comments?
OK for once for ALL.............Midway stadium was called for many years up untill 4 yrs ago......MUNICIPAL STADIUM........meaning city owned. if all the clues match there why not give it a shot.
clue says park in st. paul. midway is a ball park in st. paul. how come that is such a leap for some of us? not saying it's right but it seems reasonable to make. other clues leading to newell seem much stronger tho.
you can't get inside the park but around the outside is fair game! ;) park is an easy connection that works without being a 'giveaway' by just saying public property. PProperty may have been tooooo vague. obsession/saints/seems good. May just confirm the park is close by, which leaves longford, NEWELL, etc.
ok folks! Drop this Midway Stadium crap! It is NOT a st. paul park, and it is NOT a place the Pioneer Press would like a bunch of autistic morons rambling on that Midway Stadium is woned my the city, because it is NOT owned by the city! It is PRIVATE PROPERTY! Do you seriously think they will let you in to the field, and start throwing snow left and right! c'mon, get serious!
Not that I'm supporting Midway, but it is a ballPARK, which just happens to be in Saint Paul. Not that the PP would be foolish enough to hide it on the field if they could even get in.
ok it's a ballPARK..............how far is newell from stadium? I'm guessing it's outside stadium somewhere........Time to grab a case of beer some stoogies and find that SOB..........
Might be wrong, but I think its both Terry.
Princess, although commonly known as the Space Needle, it's plainly visible from Snelling that it says "Space Tower" IIRC.
How is everyone? Anyone been out this afternoon?
Has anybody looked at College Park yet?
I wish!!!!
I just wanna make sure everyone is looking in the right direction.....
Yep, Terry. The iris is the colored part of the eye. The black spot is the pupil (hmm, if we see a clue with a link to students...), and its covered by the cornea
Doesn't channel 5 have an "eye in the sky" camera on top of one off their transmission towers? That could be the meaning in clue 6.
Alan, are you still around?
oh man...they took my ability to post maps away.
I am still here. I just dont have anything to add.
Just in case you got the idea you wanted to cruise around Swede Hollow (and it doesn't seem to score very high in the ranking right now)...

Why Swede Hollow????
thanks for the space needle correction. Tailgating at midway?! :)
My head hurts...
Thinker - That's not a park.
There are still quite a few places the thing could be and I am stumped. Not to many people out looking at about noon time either, I suppose some people work during the day.
MIDWAY IS A BALLPARK. WHY DOES PARK HAVE TO BE A PLACE WITH BENCHES AND A SWINGSET? OUTSIDE THE BOX, PEOPLE. :)

what isnt? the market? thoguht so..............hey Theres Trains in left field of midway stadium.......I called yesterday and was told its fair game
Midway Stadium is not a park. I'm not even sure it's public property.
Is Newell no longer an option?
Yup. The market there is not a park. It's actually owned by the Aurora/St. Anthony block clubs I believe.
another announcement from the garage logic think tank..again midway is a park think tailgating trains tents and the whole show
doc, didn't you have info on public land at/near midway???
Why do some keep saying Midway Stadium, it is NOT a St. Paul park. The only thing you will find there is maybe an old baseball.
StepDogg - not bad noodling on Phalen, especially since there IS archery up on that end of the park.
That's kind of another stretch, but an archer would need to have a well-trained eye.
Steppdogg, the opposite of foul is pleasant... hence Pleasant Ave... Linwood Park???? Is it a stretch?
OK for once for ALL.............Midway stadium was called for many years up untill 4 yrs ago......MUNICIPAL STADIUM........meaning city owned. if all the clues match there why not give it a shot.

Round lake---MAPLEWOOD---archery at Phalen---MAPLEWOOD these parts of the park are both out of St. Paul.
once last time here ppl midway is maintened by st paul parks and rec time to grab some pigs eye and go tailgating
Because the city does not list it as a city park
ok cool people are finally seeing the light..............i bet we get a saint related clue by sunday
They're not going to want 500 people digging up the Saint's baseball diamond on the night of the last clue!
It's not there....
Thinker - BECAUSE it specifically states that its in a PARK in St.Paul.....if it was at a STADIUM they would say...on public property in St.Paul
It may not be at Midway Stadium, but across the tracks is Newell.....

You people actually think it is at MIDWAY STADIUM?!?!?!? Come on.....
Who did you call that told you it was fair game?

Don't go diggin up Midway and get the hunt cancelled or something!
Some people try maybe a little too hard? OR they are trying to pursuade people away from their first pick (Newell)
