I think it's best to hang in there for the last two weeks so you can use them as a reference when looking for jobs in the future. Why waste all that time you worked for them for just 2 weeks?

I think if you give a 2weeks notice....and they choose to let you go early...they need to pay you out the full 2 weeks.

No, that's not true. When you give two weeks' notice, it's typically so that they can be prepared to transition your work over to someone else. If they don't need the two weeks, then they can tell you to shove it and get out.

For example, let's say Kitch quits and gives two weeks notice. From the company perspective, any accounts he closes just means that the employee that's leaving has to be paid more money. The company won't give him any new accounts, because he's leaving, why start new projects? They'd say thanks, you can go today.

In Iceman's case, he probably should have given more notice, because now they've got to find someone to cover the route - I would have recommended he start the new gig on Monday the 25th and do the run this weekend to give himself a little more of a buffer money-wise. But the note he wrote was fine, and he threw in a few spelling errors to make them say good riddance anyway.

got to NOLA last night. our hotel is on the corner of canal and bourbin st. (the hotel rooms look just like the ones @ the crown in st paul - this part isnt bad)

we were all starving... there is a krsytal which is essentially a southern fried white castle right on the corner. it makes WC seem yummy.. oh this was nasty.

also i feel safer in mexico. in the 10 min we were in there we saw 2 hookers n 3 people asked us for money. not to mention the bums drinking in there.

very wierd.

ok. im bored. we are at a restaurant. they were out of the first 5 things we tried to order. the bathroom in the room leaks so maintance had to come.

I attended a conference in New Orleans about ten years ago. Our sales VP, whose hometown was New Orleans, told us the same thing - do not leave Bourbon Street - even in a large group. Take a taxi everywhere, even if your destination is just down the block. I would imagine katrina only made things worse.

I had some problems arond 4:30 this afternoon gettin connected here. Other sites were ok.

being stuck in a downtown parking ramp on the same level for 1 hour - and no one coming to tell you what is going on!!!!

Finally followed the mass herd going the wrong way thru the ramp to get to an exit that wa moving...

ok so I dont know if I should put this here or that I injoy IT!!!!! so I go to the bar and run in to one of the women that has messed with my head in the past couple of months!! the one who I met at the bar first!! the one that got drugged and I took home and nursed back to health she now has a boyfriend after telling me she's not ready to be with someone because she is still maried and had to kids!!!!!!!!!

and this made me realize I am not going to find the right women for quite some TIME!!!!! and to give up and try to be happy so tomorrow or today how you look at it I am going to call daniel and tell her to come get her stuff and I dont want to hear from her tell she grows up and stops playing her games!! and then I am changeing my phone number!!!!!!!!! to get the hell away from my past if they know me and I wont them to have it they get IT!!!!!
