BWAHH! sums it up to no end see what I misse when I caom home and fall alseep right after my first day of work!!!! eee gads!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so sore!! I went to bed at 7:30 last night!!!
I was just popping in for a sec while I refreshed my beverage. I haven't been able to relax for quite a while and this is working out nicely. Work may suck tomorrow but I'm OK now anyway.
whitney is at an age when she give lots of hugs... (soon to be teenagers and then they only want you near them to get $$ or a massage outa yah).... she is also at just the right height where her ear rests right at my heart. I love it!
so last night - she tucked ME in! and she quietly hugs me good night and I ask her if she can hear it... "can you here it?" she replies "yes". I then ask "can you hear what it's saying" and she replies "it says I love you Whitney" I said "you're right" with a huge smile on my face - then she went off to bed.
Wow!   What a great story. That sounds like pretty much the opposite of my 11 year olds tuck in last night. A lot of teenage attitudes going on in my house right now!
I'm sure she is missing you too - but likely having a good time.
My kids always enjoyed camps and such - and as much as I missed them, when they came home with all the dirty laundry and an attitude I would wonder why I thought I missed 'em.
My Mom explained their attitude this way: They've been away from you for a whole week/two weeks/10 days/whatever, and they feel pretty proud of themselves for having survived without you during that time. They've grown while they were gone. They are just feeling their oats.
11 year olds can be that way. If you can remember how they were when they were 2 or 4 - independent, mouthy, more emotional...that's what an 11 year old is, but more sophisticated.
When my oldest was 11 - and he had always been so good - unusually so - I was ready to take him in to a psychiatrist and find out what was going on in his brain that was causing all the ruckus. Then I did some reading about that age and I realized we were just in for it for about a year.
My second one - always ready to outdo her brother - was a horror at 11. Of course she was pretty much a horror during all her teen years. She often speaks now of how she can hardly believe how horrible she was back then. And then I tell her it's good she grew up past that and then we laugh and say our "love you"s.
actually, pretty much everything apple produces is very anti-nerd.
Their philosophy is to create a user interface that anyone can use. While that's good for the general public, a nerd would probably find such a device fairly boring.
First thing I would want to do with one would be see how I could hack it, improve it, or make it do other stuff it wasn't intended for.
Then theres this gy with an interesting marketing stragedy - lets sell/advertise it for $21,000,000 !!!
The highest bid in the auctions so far is about $2700 for 1 phone! average about $900
so three things- how much did they sell for yesterday? did there turn out to be a shortage due to some screen issue? and whats with the time on the box of 9:41?
enjoy: party i went to last nite. i was the girl champion. also wrestled a very large guy who resembled an aligator in strength.
enjoy: being put incharge of a big project. yall know about the tahoe forest fires - well they boarder 8 of our clubs. we know several familes personally affected by them as an org. so each club is raising $$$ to help. Ive got my girls on board for a carwash for next weekend.
went to my grans today to do more cleaning (which usually disturbs me) on my way home, instead of going to the highway, at Mare Island Shipyard - I turned into the parking lot of the bar my Dad used to hang out at, walked out behind it onto the public docks, and sat down at the end of it, and just sat there there - indian style, watching the sunset.
I found tranquility in my thought (or I suppose thoughts to be grammatically correct)
it was. it's one of those places, that makes me glad to live where I live. I like it, it reminds me of my pop, maybe a little too much, cause just across the inlet from where I sat, was where he was killed. But maybe that's why he's so 'there' for me. its like tangible in some wierd way.
then I'm here for a week
and off to mexico that tuesday (17th)
I love my life.
Double BwaHHHH
And claiming my first personal joe! Only 13,564 more posts to catch up with CM.

This week has been such a whirlwind of things going on. I'm looking forward to relaxing this weekend around a nice fire.
Work may suck tomorrow but I'm OK now anyway.

Makes my job of updating 6000+ customer records a LOT easier. Basically it cuts 20+ keystrokes down to 2. Good old think smarter, not harder.
We're a team damn-it!

I do believe that's true.
