(I'm switching my braclet as I post this)

My girls in my club - afraid that of the word Dirty.

Dirty girls and Clean Cars. They don't like the image it construes.

I asked them tonight 1) why didn't you say something weeks ago - did you think i wouldn't pull this off?

2) can any of you wash a hundred or so cars, and not get dirty? I'd like to see that.

It's such highschool crap. ONE doesn't like it, and she sits there and talks crap to the president (who is one of my best friends) I swear to gawd, I could just slap her.

hmm - I'm going to be pool side with her on Saturday night - perhaps I'll just toss her in - dressed and all.

well, today was PREMIUM.

I've been asked by the station to come in and do ads for them on the side - they LOVE my voice. (sweet!)

I went in with 3 dirtty girls. I kept it very light, talked about our club, talked about our event etc. etc. etc.

then he asked us what we do.. one of the girls owns an adult toy website.

... lets just say... anything 'clean' went out the window RIGHT there. One of the girls is quite the instigator - and was pushing the other one...

any who - after that radio interview - I look like a saint. TOTAL saint. :sheepish:

I always thought you had a nice mouth, er, voice too.

It fits you well. Sounds fun. Do they have it streaming anywhere on the net like KQ does?
Thu, 07/12/2007 - 9:27 AM Permalink
Love4Vino

its www.kxfx.com i'm not sure.

If you can stream it - my bit will play at 7:30 - 8:30 tomorrow morning

also they will have our photos up and our flyers etc. under the 'events' section.

yah - it would be awesome to do some voice work. I'm such a dork.. i dig that stuff.

I was told that I had a nice radio voice too. It even landed me a lucrative deal selling magazines over the phone to people who were waiting for you to call so they could take out their frustrations on you. I told the guy to keep his $10 for the three hours I could handle it. :eyeroll:

“You pull the pickles from the jar, cut them in halves, make double-strength Kool-Aid, add a pound of sugar, shake and let it sit — best in the refrigerator — for about a week. The taste takes to anything. A while back I made a mistake and bought a jar of pickle chips instead of halves or wholes. Came out fine. This whole Kool-Aid pickle thing is going so good, you wonder why somebody hasn’t put a patent on them.”

Fricken idiots!

Since the lighthouse is overseen by the Coast Guard, the graffiti is considered a federal offense, punishable by a $2,500 fine and up to a year in prison,

I do like that tho.

reminds me of the movie where the guy spent 1/2 his life in the hole in a prison for stealing a postage stamp.

I think it should be the same crime whether its against the government or the old lady down the street. I don't like double standards.

people that think they need to force their views of how you should run your life.

Case in point, my roommate, he hasn't worked in over 5 years (he's legally blind, so he doesn't own a car and have a lot of expenses). We stopped by the ramsey county fair for a bit today (I wanted to get some pictures because I forgot my camera yesterday). I got a lemonade, and he goes on about how he wouldn't have paid that much for it.

Give me a break, I work dang hard for a living, and I'm getting financial advice from someone that hasn't worked in years. That's only one example from one person, but its stuff I end up dealing with on an almost daily basis.

That kind of thing really gets me, too!

One elderly woman I know, who is alternately pious and vain, is constantly pointing out, with disdain, anyone who has "money". She rags about people who dress in fancy clothes, yet she has a certain standard for dress and will criticize anyone who does not live up to it.

Seems like a lot of people who are critical of others have too much time on their hands.

And I'm not good at quick come-backs. Would be fun to have some good one-liners to use in situations like that.

I'd love to have a comeback, but I'm usually too passive aggressive.

For the most part, I just blow off those sort of comments. When I do start getting harped on though, I ask to change the subject, because frankly I'm sick of hearing about it. I don't make bad decisions, and don't need to hear about how much better off I would be if I made different choices.

I agree though, critical people do tend to be the ones that have more time on their hands. I enjoyed the winter this year because that roommate was out in California, it sure made the house a lot more peaceful.

I have a girl in my club.. it seems when ever something is going wrong in her life - she seeks me out to give me a hard time about anything and everything I'm doing.

I finally had it with her a when we were in New Orleans (the fact that I was drinking prolly didn't hurt) She said something rude and put me down to me infront of about 20 people

and I shot back with - you know that was really uncalled for, is your husband banging his secretary again? Is that why you are being such a B to me?

She turned around and stormed out.

I would say something like.. so does that mean, you don't want to go trolling for hookers with me?

coming from you - that would really shut him up.
Mon, 07/16/2007 - 10:13 AM Permalink
KC0GRN

Nah, that would backfire.

Usually he tries saying comments like that once in a while just to get some kind of reaction out of me, since he thinks I've lived a pretty sheltered life.

Fricken dealerships who tell you the cost of something only to triple it when you actually bring it in. $1200 for new headlight covers! WTF!!?? :coolfrown:

Plus another $800 to fix those stall codes. Looks like I'll be stalling again this winter :eyeroll:

Pisses me off. I guess that's what you get when owning a 'quality' vehicle :eyeroll:

kc, what does this job entail? how much does it pay? is it full time with bennies?
Mon, 07/16/2007 - 3:18 PM Permalink
becksie

Exactly!!!

I've been in this situation and busted my arse!because my conscience compelled me to do "everything" and stay until it was all finished. I began to feel that my company didn't really appreciate those efforts to my satisfaction. Companies will take all you will give unless you really advocate for yourself. I insisted on bonus pay for the interim and got it. Then last time it happened, I negotiated for a percentage of my salary until such time that a qualified candidate accepted the job and was able to function independently. Got that, too. Now, I don't stay late unless I'm on-call. If stuff doesn't get done, well...it's up to them to figure out what to do about that (i.e., hire more staff). I'm much less bitter about work now...and have had some lovely vacations, too!

Food for thought anyway...
