Ok now I am looking or 2 Rain gutters - yes that's right. My Cub Scout pack wants to have a Raingutter Regatta Race. Needed are Rain gutters (with ends) to hold the water. We place them onto sawhorses and the Scouts race their sailboats that they have been working on.
The Washington County Historic Courthouse will host the annual "Kickoff to Lumberjack Days" event, featuring an old-fashioned ice cream social and amateur talent show from 4:30 p.m. to dusk Wednesday. The talent show will begin at 6 p.m. and feature a variety of acts. Spectators may participate in a history question-and-answer session to win prizes donated by local businesses. There also will be children's activities, including a petting zoo. Food, ice cream novelties, penny candy, root-beer floats and other beverages will be for sale.
The Washington County Historical Society will sell Lumberjack Days buttons, and the first clue for the Lumberjack Days Medallion Hunt will be read during the talent show.
At the rondo library (at Dale and University)they are celebrating 125 years of the library in st. paul by giving away four tickets per family to the Minnesota Lynx August 4th game at Target Center and a free cookie.
This looks to be right up your alley Nick. I can think of a few others who could fill this position as well.

My Master, I do sincerely hope BFG stands for "Beautiful, Fair green," or something else equally nice and is not referring to the menopausal adipose that has decided to envelope my body...
Sounds like a fine time was had at the County Fair. Ittiz so nice they still have them. Old fashiony and comfy. When I was a kid, back in The Dark Ages, we always went to the County Fair and the State Fair. Maybee thass why I like the Great Minnesota Get-Together so much.
Speaking o'TGMGT... I will actually be WORKING one o'the days of The Fair! I'm now paid staff and work for the State. Granted, ittiz only a stipend of $20/day (which comes out to $2.50/hour or less depending how long my day is...) but the shirt and hat say "Staff" and thass all I care about! Unfortunately the hat and shirt are NOT green. :frown:
That show? The new one about MN? I think any one o'us could do it. We're used to the camera. I think I could, but I'd not be as funny as Violet. Naturally, I do see The 'Crew being featured in one o'the shows... What's more MN/Saint Pauly than The Cooler Crew and the Med Hunt?
I'm doing my dangest to say away from the Dicks topic. Outta respect for Kogren and all, and ittiz very, very hard... Though I do think a Dicks family reunion would be a blast! Meet all those Dicks, So many Dicks, so little time!
Good luck with the audition Nick. Hopefully the funeral won't throw you off your game. Is that Highland water tower open today or did I space that off last week?
I just read in another folder that No Body, who occasionally posts here, had a stroke on July 4. Apparently it has affected his right side, as he's posted since using his left hand.
missed the tower - it felt soooo good to just lay on the couch with a big comforter and pillows. I couldnt get motivated to get going.
hopefully I'll get to go up there in October (isn't that the next time it's open?).
Just got back from Harry Potter though ... it was pretty slow for the most part and I felt it didnt tie up loose ends by the end but there are sequals, Ive been told not to worry. Great fireworks and lightening effects from the power of the wands. Liked the preminition room. I could literally feel the pain in Harry when he screamed and I loved the windows shattering and the glass flying - very intense and very real.
I thought the movie was ok, that scene in the hall of prophecies was actually totally butchered from how it was told in the book... You should really read the books if you have the time, definitely worth it.
I just posted a question for you in the disc thread. I may be up for it- I have not been feeling well lately. I'll mention it to becks too - I guess see if anyone else is up for it - Tim, cm, 3m, kitch? anyone?
The "So You Think You Can Dance" tour is coming in October - tickets go on sale Aug 11th.
But this year the show is at the Target Center (last year was at the Orpheum - much better venue for a dance show) so would need good seats to make it worth while.
I just had a family at the hospital ask if I had any contacts at Target Center for an upcoming wrestling event....my target contact left and now I can't get these kids tickets...
We have contacted the Target Center, but they say they have no control over the ticket distribution (ha)....we have to make a contact in the WWF (Nick, you still wrestle for them?)
Better. Thanks for asking. I was just thinking about you guys earlier today when we were setting up a camping trip with my family for the first time. Ali & I always go camping with Amy's side but my side usually just goes up to their respective cabins and never together. It should be kinda fun. Although we'll have the biggest camper with our pop-up since the rest are tenting it.
you should get a site at our campground one of these days, that would be a blast. I think ali would have fun, one of our friends up there has a girl about her age. and if we do kareoke it's even funner

Any Ideas??

Good luck with the audition Nick. Hopefully the funeral won't throw you off your game. Is that Highland water tower open today or did I space that off last week?
