The reporter and photographer made this a really fun thing for my aunt, who was a little intimidated when she first heard the newspaper wanted to interview and photograph her. I think they did a wonderful job.
Actually, the computer guru in me is highly overestimated! LOL!
My sister is handling book orders, as of this morning, when e-mails started pouring into Ma Press and the reporter has been kind enough to forward them.
Sight unseen, the books can be purchased by sending an e-mail to the reporter, and she will forward them to my sister. I will ask my sister how public she wants her e-mail address to be at this point in time! LOL!
I'm sure it can be arranged for the book to be viewed first, though, since y'all have connections via the Cooler Crew.
With current publisher discounts, I *think* the hard covers are going to sell for about $25 and the paperbacks for about $12.
thats cool! she's gonna be here at the state fair.
spending the day at an outdoor waterpark/pool.
for the most part it was stress free. wonderful warm sun to catch 20 winks before getting woken up to come play in the water and tube down the slides. cool view too - check this out...
enjoy (prior to the hell that was this afternoon) spending last night among friends, one inparticular, that makes me giggle like a two year old.
we were pretty tired and punchy at 6 am when we finally tried to go to sleep that him playing peekabook with his blanket left me in hysterical fits of laughter for a good two hours.
it was. I'll have to post the photo I took of him hiding in this blanket.. but we were pretty tired (and a little drunk too) I laughed for something like 15 minutes straight - couldn't breathe, tears.. laughter.
The giddy screams from two 9 year olds when getting the new Hillary Duff CD along with 4 tickets to her upcoming concert.
They're having a sleep-over right now and had to call all their friends and brag to them. Sad because that's the exact reason why I waited until the last day of summer school to give them the tickets. Oh well. It should be fun anyway. Daddy daughter day watching the Duff.
then you wouldnt have wanted to see me at a Neil Diamond concert as a teenager. GOD, did he have a nice butt! (the feeling was almost like the girls fainting over the Beatles-- to find something in your life that makes you feel that way - sigh - )
my uncle called my sister, and talked to her about all of this.... because legally he cant tell me jack shit about whats going on with anything yet....
but its like this...
he wants to eventually move to Texas, where my cousin lives...
and doesnt want to be incharge of the trust, for the next 14 years....
so he and the lawyer are trying to see what they can do through the courts, to simply get everything turned over to me.....
having to continue my education for my work goals.. and striking a deal with my boss.. if they want me to improve my computer skills (i.e. programing stuff - YUCK) they also have to pay for me to improve my spanish skills.
they agreed! woot! I start Spanish this semester.. and computers NEXT semester.
hint: there's one hidden on me somewhere
viva la Ensenada!
Golfing all day for an annual work tournament.
& have fun
Salt the rim of a beer glass (a little cayenne on there is yummy too if you can take the heat)
Add ice to the glass
add a splash of worsteshire (or what they call jugo)
a splash of tobasco
a splash of bloody mary mix
lots of fresh squeezed lemon juice
and fill to the top with good mexican beer (i like tecate in here)
stir slightly to mix.
Enjoy.
