Thanks guys....just everything is going nuts..and I only have three days to resolve it all....once at camp all I can do is worry over what I was not able to resolve
I think something has died in my tower. When I turned on the computer this morning I smelled this awful smell. I opened all the doors on my desk and not there. I crawled under my desk and not there. I started to move the tower.......and there!
So now I hope it hurries up and completes the decaying process.
Now you are bidding against a pro. That makes it harder. You're going to have to wait until the last minute and bid your maximum you're willing to pay and hope 1gail1 doesn't have time to outbid you.
Either way, I'm not going to jump more than I think it's worth. Even to me. I'm sure this new bidder can easily see my kind from a mile away. I come in and register and place a bid on one item in particular. I'm obviously in need of this item. Perfect for pouncing
Finding a bunch of newspapers on my door step when I got home from vacation.
I held my mail when I was gone so as to not advertise we wern't home.
I went and picked up my mail today and in my held mail there was a letter saying that Carmike theaters and Pioneer Press teamed up to give me free samples of the paper. If we didn't want it or were going to be out of town to call a number they had in the letter.
Unfortunatly my mail was held because I WAS gone, so the papers piled up. I called and told them I didn't appreciate that.
I told them if I wanted the paper I would suscribe and that next time they should send the notice out before sending the paper!!!   :coolfrown:
I spent 4 hours last night after hours, then 3 more starting at 6am today working on a coworker's computer because her business application locks up all the time.
Needless to say, it has happened after she got a virus on her computer due to all the junk email she voluntarily signs up for.
I managed to get the virus off last week without having to reformat the computer (spending another 8 hours on it). Now all I hear is "Joel, acctivate locked up again!" "I can't get my work done, I'm going to transfer this customer to you".
Thought I'd fixed it this morning, but apparently not, as I got the same yell across the office.
Some people don't deserve computer priviledges AT ALL. I swear I'm going to goodwill tonight to buy her a typewriter so she can enter orders by hand.
We have two people here devoted to customer service, full time. Their main job function is to answer the phones and take orders. This should mean as soon as that phone rings, they should be scrambling to pick it up. But they sit there, letting the phone ring, hoping someone else will grab it. Are they doing something important?
No! They're busy looking at a web page, or IMing their friends, or checking their email.
Screw it. I'm going to start picking up the phone on the first ring, and every time I do, I'm going to put a check mark on a pad of paper at my desk. Since I'm rating them once a month on our stupid "peer evaluations", I'll directly correlate those marks to their job performance.
I woke up early, came in to work extra early, felt like I accomplished stuff. Took care of some major messes before they even had time to become messes.
My reward is more and more stuff piled on me to do. And it's not even all work related. I'd love nothing more than to take care of everyone's demands on my time, I really, really would. But I only have 24 hours in a day, it's not enough anymore, even if I sacrifice all of my free/sleep time.
dude I would just go in and pull a office sapce just do enugh to get by with out getting yelled at!!! thats why I cant work in a office!!!! I would be one of the guys that comes in and gose postal on everone!!!!! I would just fliping snap!!!

I dont know if things go right with nick getting the house singed over to him I mite be moveing in then they can use my computer I have like 3 or 4 extra computers lol!! I should just go to school for it so I can do it for a liveing! I love to work on computters!! but hat offices!!! thats why I havent done it yet!!!
Computers and offices go hand in hand. Private sector is too cheap to make a living on.
Face it, everyone knows a guy that will fix their computer for free or next to nothing anyway.
I'm one of those guys, and yes, I am guilty of fixing stuff for free.
Take that all you whining songwriters and hollywood tycoons in the RIAA. Yeah, I'm giving my talents away free. You should be lucky all you have to do is record a song once.
Everything ok?

But on the bright side I have a new winch on my ATV for my vaca starting saturday.

Blah, I'm wasting time typing too.. back to it.
Just got off an unpleasant call, having to once again apologize for something beyond my control.
"Well I shouldn't have to spend time ordering paper, I don't have enough time in my day for this"
Cry me a freakin river! Don't even whine to me about time
I need some food.. but I have to spend my time getting yelled at about not helping other people save enough of theirs.
ps nick is haveing to use the computer at the lybairy for now carlyns computter is down for the count it tells her there is no modem on it?? because of that viris that they got on it!!
Unless it's a different computer. idk anymore anyway.
