They took over 3 hours to get that one 2 second scene where the guy high-fives the lady coming up the steps of the Government Center. It's like they were actual government employees instead of actors. :eyeroll:

http://www.spiralfrog.com/

open'd today

will let Web surfers download songs by U2, Timbaland, Amy Winehouse and other Universal Music Group artists free.

The catch: Consumers have to wait 90 seconds for each track to download, and they must answer questions each month about their buying habits.

In addition, the songs can't be played on iPods or burned onto CDs as they can with 99-cent downloads from the dominant online music store, Apple Inc.'s iTunes.

I just never see the need to. I like peer to peer networks for other reasons than sharing files, I guess just because the technology seems fascinating.

Oh, speaking geek-wise, OpenOffice 2.3 was released yesterday. I use in exclusively at home because it's free and Open Source.

I just use google like kitch posted before:

TO GOOGLE MP3s

People leave music files in unprotected directories all of the time. Here's how to get to them. Come get your free mp3s.

We all need music. If you properly query google, you can find open indexes of music files easily. Here are some hints to get you started.

Google: -inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" "Last modified" mp3 like this

Using this string we are using the "index of" and the inurl commands to attempt to isolate directories only. The mp3 tag on the end tells google to look for mp3s in these open directories. You can change this to wma or ogg if you wish.

You can add additional search criteria to focus your search more.

Google: -inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" mp3 "pearl jam" or like this

This command will find open directories with mp3 files with Pearl Jam. Obviously you can change the band name or file type to better define your search.

if you change "pearl jam" to any band, genre, album, song, etc..you'll get other possibles...

My very favorite moment is Twins Rule-1987. Most memorable one is the Jacob Wetterling story.

Reading the Vikings Lose NFC Championship-1999 I saw something funny.

"Kicker Gary Anderson’s 38-yard field goal attempt—his first miss of the year—fails to win the game. The Vikings lose 30-27".

Uh, shouldn't that be "fails to TIE the game"?

And to tell you the truth, I don't even remember the Great Halloween Storm of 1991. :worried:

The Great Ape Escape—1994

Brenda was working out at Como when that happened. She was 15 years old.

I remember feeling so for the Wetterlings when Jacob was abducted. I still do. How horrible to not know what happened, is he alive somewhere...one never truly gives up hope. I wish they would solve that one.

The years prior to the 199l Halloween blizzard we had always more than 100 kids - sometimes way more - at our door trick or treating. That year, of course, with the storm brewing, we didn't have many at all. Since then, we are lucky to see more that 25 or 30 kids. Odd that.

One thing missing from that list....

1998 - The Cooler Crew was founded.

My heart never sank so much for any sporting moment than during that missed field goal. I felt like I really had to throw up. I was in a deep deep depression for the whole week as many other fans were as well.

We finally made it. We were picked to go all the way 1/2 way into the season because of all the points we were racking up. I went to one of those games that year where we beat Jacksonville 51-7 or something like that. It was hilarious how we stomped all over every team we played. Except those pesky girls from Tampa Bay :eyeroll:

I think that's why it hurt soo fricken bad when we didn't get what we were due.

Along those lines, I'm actually kinda glad that Grandapa Farve will break the all-time touchdown record against us in this Sunday's upcoming game. I'm not really a fan at all of his but am proud of his accomplishments.
