my grandpa used to have a cage like that, that he would always catch squirrels in, in his yard....
he lived a few blocks from mounds park....
whenever he would catch a squirrel, he would spray paint its tail orange, and then drive to Mounds Park, and let it go..... he wanted to see if they would ever come back...
My son was on Good Company years ago. Maybe 30 years ago? It was for a segment on "Unusual Children's Pets" He had mice that would climb up his arm and eat food off his shoulder. Of course the mice didn't cooperate on the show. Probably camera shy.
Edited to say that it wasn't "Unusual Children", it was "Unusual Pets". :pbpt:
Leaving for the fair soon with my daughter and her family. Each year I say I really don't need to go every year, but every year I break down and go.
Then tomorrow off to Northern Wisconsin for a nice, long weekend at the lake. Can't wait! It's supposed to be beautiful this weekend. I even packed a swimming suit.
I got my button! She gave me two for good measure I guess. Thanks for letting me know about that. I didn't have the nerve to ask if she had any old ones. She was busy with a woman whose son got scared on a ride and she was complaining. :eyeroll:
I brought up Good Company to some people not a very long time ago, and they had never heard of it... Pretty cool to know someone who was a part of it
Sharon Anderson was hot (to a 10 year old kid...) Steve Edelman was a dork... (probably cuz I wanted to marry his wife)
Having a good weekend down in the cities. Got to stop by my grandmother's grave, Javy and I. She would have gotten a kick out of him. Realized it's been almost three years. I thought back to what's happened in that three years, and I know she's had a big hand in getting me to where I am now.
It was nice to see my grandpa too. I could tell he was glad to see me. Able to help him get his house cleaned up a little more.
Elissa and I had a good time at the fair with her mom and aunt. It was nice sharing the food so you got to taste different things and not get full off of one thing.
finally getting a handle on the whole balance diet and exercise thing - to the point where when I drop this last 25 pounds, i'm gonna hopefully succeed at keeping it off.
making plans to go to the zoo tomorrow.. to stay out of the 105 degree heat that is santa rosa. SF should be perfect tomorrow.
Poobah grew up in Minnesota, met Mr. Hall at a carnival there in the mid-Â’50s.

now here is what I enjoyed...
watching the freak show for about an hour....and watching the wonder and shock on my daughters face....and feeling her heart just pound away with amazement.
I know for a long time I'm going to enjoy the wonder I saw in her eyes with a girl turned into an gorilla.

But the trap costs $$ so I don't think I'll do that.
Besides, like J said, Wheres momma?
Still gonna need the trap I think.
