like picking the teams that are playing at home only to win

2 years ago ..I picked based on a lot of different reasons...

each week had a different theme.

  • toughest nickname like Lions can eat a Buffalo bill.

  • toughest town like pittsburg over miami.

  • colors...like I thought black and orange are tougher than green and white.

  • Mascots --Ragnar the Viking could beat up Sourdough Sam (49ers)

  • Warmer city would lose to a colder city

  • Coin Flips

    I forgot all of them...

    ...I didn't do so well..but I had fun.

    Ever see the Cheers episode where Diane Chambers picked winning football teams by a lot of those criteria you posted? She also had one pick based on which city had the better symphony.

    Can someone help me out here? I'm trying to remember a Twins game back a few years where we used every pitcher in the bullpen and Gary Gaetti was even called on to pitch.

    Was that a play off game? Was it even Gary Gaetti? I was telling this to my daughter tonight but can't remember the particulars too well.

    Thanks Kitch. I think it was in the '80's and might not have been that record breaking game. Could very well have been Gladden that they had pitch though.

    I'm going to see if my son-in-law knows who and when exactly. I just remember it being a really fun game to watch. By the time the game ended they pretty much had a whole different team on the field because they had switch hit so many regular players.
