There is no such thing as Ravioli Park is there? Or Boyardee St. - Is someone making that up? Anyway ... thanks to whoever said to click on the number that is underlined to refresh the page. Wow - does that help! I was hitting refresh, and sometime went back a page and then forward - sometimes .... anyway thanks. I gotta get out and at least look a bit this year. So tonight it will be downtown since this is where I live. See you later or tomorrow.

Maybe it's at Rice Park. All the clues could apply.

How do you come up w/ Rice Park? I don't see it. What clues are you going by? Bcuz I will ck them out. I live 2 blocks away.

There's a bus shelter nearby, no golf course, look in the direction of King Borealis or whatever his name is - the direction of the parade route, banks, towers, statues, etc., etc.

Rice Park because of cooking at the end of clue 4

I wish I had a list of all of the parks in St. Paul. I can't quite keep track of them all.

Sure that works - plus: Minnesota Wild Rice - the wild fits in there too.

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 8:48 PM Permalink
Annette B.

Who is the guy that the statue is of in Rice Park? MN Wild Rice - I like that - you know this probably will have something to do w/ the yr 2000 or MN Wild, or Lawson, or what else is new around here?

I think it's Uncle Ben!!!

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 8:49 PM Permalink

I don't know - maybe it's William Tell or Chef Boyardee

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 8:49 PM Permalink

I think it is named after Fitzgerald, now that I think about it.

F. Scott Fitzgerald--St. Paul native and author of the Great Gatsby and others

Actually, according to the Treasure Hunter's Guide, it is a statue of a woman, but it doesn't give a name.

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 8:51 PM Permalink
Annette B.

I didn't know he wrote the Great Gatsby - that was a boring book, I thought - one of those things you had to read in high school. There is also a statue of a woman - she was there 1st - well - there we go "opposites attract" - kidding. anyway. I am going to blow off some steam by walking around town.

Annette--it's a great story--deception, unrequited love, booze smuggling, car wrecks, plus some real solid writing. Just my opinion, but gotta stick up for Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald

Well, you guys stick together then. Let's see the opposite of St. Peter (or a saint) would be....

The Library is right there which is the "read, fact, etc", Does the Science Museum fit in anywhere w/ the clues? We'll see in future. Doesn't look like Rice is a real big contender to me tho.

Can anybody tell me how to get to Swede Hollow? We looked for it today but I can't find it. Thanks!

I'm the one who wrote that its the space tower not needle around 2 this afternoon.

I'm still convinced that the "well-trained eye" refers to looking at a well (hand-operated pump/drinking fountain), either from the medallion spot, or from a tree or something similar with the medallion lying on a line between it and the well.

I am so lost with clue #5....Anyone have any suggestions on the meaning of this one?

Cloudy and Foul....those are such strange words to use....

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 9:01 PM Permalink

Letta - that sounds like a good park. That one would be worth checking out. Do you think foul - means as in a bird? And what is the profitable profession?

hotline says--keep looking, and remember search, don't destroy

Fri, 01/28/2000 - 9:02 PM Permalink
OttaMyMind

Maybe clue 5 means that you shouldn't look for the treasure--being sought by nobody is the opposite of being sought by all--so you shouldn't search because they didn't hide it this year!

Snow lifter-- go to www.treasurehunt.8m.com to find places to purchase the treasure hunters guide--a useful book that lists all St. Paul parks, the things that are in them, and maps of where those things are, with indexed pictures pointing to above website....I bought mine at the Map Store in Kellogg Square 111 E Kellogg, at Kellogg & robert in Downtown St. Paul. Now let's touch elbows.
