My family had rented a room at a hotel to watch that game, CM. I never saw the air sucked out of a party like it was after that missed field goal. You don't forget something like that ending to a season.
I interviewed Jacob's mother for Let's Play Hockey shortly after his abduction. He played Midget level or something like that and was our cover. She was just a tiny thing, really small. I felt like she was trying to comfort me more than anything during the interview, she was so very optimistic.
I've got six of those Wheaties boxes in my basement. They scare me a little now when I see them. I imagine them full of wheat moths or something and have been close to tossing them many times but haven't yet.
My Mom was a delegate for the Democratic party and worked with Patty coaching her for public speaking. She is an amazing little person. She took time out to talk to my kids about safety and told them that a day doesn't go by that she doesn't think about Jacob and that she will look for him till she finds him or dies trying. It takes an exceptional person to be able to take a tragedy like that and help missing and exploited children all over the world!
I bet if they are like mine with a autogrpah from everyone on the team that year they are worth a bit more!!! I woulndt sell my boxs for any thing!! well Ok maybe a 100 or 2 lol!!! I need the money so bad now I can taste it!!!
Does anyone know the title of the movie where they took the Oscar Meyer weiner car down the Ohio Hill?
At least I think it was Oscar Meyer - I know it was a weiner-mobile.
The movie was filmed at various places in the twin cities. Probably some time in the 1970s.
Rich girl, poor boy, she is getting married, he hang-glides through a cathedral window to stop the wedding. Some shots show the St. Paul Cathedral, but I heard the actual window he hang-glides through was from the Basilica in Minneapolis. Obviously he didn't actually hang-glide through *that* window, either.
Anyway, since I posted about this movie earlier, I have been trying to recall the title. I will almost get it - then - nothing. I hate it when that happens! I think its a title with three one-syllable words, like _____ _____ Day.
Oh yeah, now I remember - I googled "rich girl poor boy church window" and it showed a link to the movie on imdb. I'd tried other word combinations, and tried imdb, but no luck until I googled and guessed the right words.
Can someone tell me about it - I wwnt to view it when I got home from work (they blocked youtube & myspace at work) and it has been removed due to a copyright.
I'm on dialup here in the north and if I wait for the whole thing to buffer up, I could be found with my face buried on the keyboard by morning. So I don't know if it's the whole clip or just a portion - but it will give you the idea anyways.
The Mom thing (set to the tune of the William Tell Overture) is back up on youtube with other links - hopefully if you missed it, you will get to watch it before they take *them* down:
“Green Conservatism & Hydrogen – Unlimited Energy with a Clean Environment”
While assuring a clean environment and at the same time growing energy supplies is seen as incompatible by some, technology and new materials science provide an opportunity to meet global demands for increased energy in an environmentally benign way. The promise of greater, yet cleaner energy than that provided by fossil fuel dependence can enhance national security, create worldwide economic activity, and provide a cleaner and healthier future. Former Congressman Robert Walker will present such a vision in a proposal for converting to a hydrogen energy economy which can produce unlimited an unlimited supply of affordable, clean fuel for our future
I'm glad they included the Banyon trees. They're way cool. We got to see the largest Banyon tree in the world while we were resting from a day of whale watching in Maui. Amy stayed in the car to rest her stomach while tourist boy took pictures of the tree. They put off a huge amount of shade. It was like being in a house under it.
I am surprised they didn't include the Joshua trees though. Those are pretty freaky looking too. They even have their own national park devoted to them.
This is the haunted house I want to go to there is another one thats Open year round some where and one year it was all over the news and stuff they change it every 3 months and it is a big hug permant thing!!!

Might be time to toss them. No bids.
Someone on Craig's List has a few listed at $25, but hasn't had any takers yet.
guess their not worth much... :frown:
I hate when I buy something I think will appreciate and instead depreciate. Kind of like the stock market.

Foolin' Around (1980)
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0080750/
so much for my guess at it being a three-word title!
but they don't have it :frown:
now I wanna see it
I'd forgotten all the big names that were in it - Gary Busey, Cloris Leachman, Tony Randall.
Maybe someone will read this and have a copy on VHS you can borrow?
Maybe I'll see if there is a used VHS copy to be had somewhere.
I'll check there- however, I have a $19 late fee I gotta pay first :worried: :eyeroll: :frown:

I found a city website about movies filmed in St. Paul. They even mention No Time For Cold Feet.
http://www.stpaul.gov/depts/film/
But they didn't mention Foolin' Around. I'm still trying to figure out how I stumbled on it.
