That looks like a hornet nest. The best way to get rid of it is to get a can of Raid wasp/hornet killer. Do it it night, as this is when the hornets are in the nest, and you want to wipe out as many of them as possible. Douse the nest with the Raid, and wait a while to let the poison work. It usually says on the can how long to wait. Once you're sure that there's no activity in the nest anymore, rip it out from the wall. (You might want to spray it a few times to be safe with a nest that big.)

Its not like they built that overnight--- maybe see if there is a local bee keeper in your area- maybe he can salvage the honey somehow. I really like honey but dont think you can get it from that kind of hive - maybe just the bears can
it's not on the house, It was out in the shed, we don't really have anything in there yet so we didn't go in there all summer, we got a new bed and gave tawny ours and decided to put hers in there untill we found someone to take it...guess we'll be checking the shed a little more often next year :eyeroll:
Are you seeing activity at that nest? Usually once you get a hard freeze, the activity stops and getting it down is a cinch. Sometimes they even fall down on their own.
I love old cars and stuff like that this is a cool deal about old cars and history!! should have sound but if not all your missing is GOOD old music!! I miss stuff like this!! my dad use to do crazy stuff like they say in here I heard him telling storys about it all the time!!!

Medhunter - I remember those days of chauffering kids back and forth like it was yesterday. Seemed those crazy days would go on forever. They didn't. Sometimes, though not often, I actually miss those times.
one of my uncles showed up to take care of it...
he knocked it down with a baseball bat, and then hid in his truck for 45 minutes while they tried to attack him...
he said they were literally bouncing off his truck..
after a while, he went and doused what was left of the thing, with raid, or whatever, and then got rid of it....
