A couple of years ago I picked up a passport at a display at the state fair that had to be completed with stickers from various buildings/historic places in the Twin Cities. The prize was a Winnebago or something. Then they held a drawing from the completed passports to determine the winner.

I did it and it was a lot of fun. Even got into the rectory at the Cathedral. That was cool. I remember going to Xcel, Science Museum, Minnesota Historical Society, Children's Museum, Landmark, Fort Snelling, James J. Hill House, Cathedral rectory, Como Conservatory, the Capitol Building and some I don't remember off hand.

I just sent them an e-mail asking them why there are no dates posted with the cities and how we will know when these hunts begin.

I have the Alchemist Dar book, you're more than welcome to borrow it sometime if you want b/c I'm stumped  I think that maybe they made it a bit too hard as the book has been out for more than a year and no one has claimed a single ring! (there are 100 rings).

Anyone else playing the National Treasure game?

http://worldsbiggesttreasurehunt.movies.go.com

I'm apprehensive about the movie. The first one was cool, but sometimes they really screw up by giving a good movie a sequel when it didn't really need it.

Both the website and forum for Alchemist Dar are down. They made an announcement on the forum last week that the site would be shutting down, I hope this doesn't mean that they're stopping the hunt.

Digging for Dino's! It's an on-line excavationÂ… Uncover the buried dinosaur bones at K102 dot com and you could win a family four pack of tickets to see Walking with Dinosaurs in an Xcel Energy Center Supersuite! The dinosaur bones will be hidden somewhere on the k102 website. You'll have to search and dig, but when you find them it could send you to the show! Kids will receive show programs and Walking with Dinosaur T-shirts!

That wasn't too tough - the Morning show page is easily the one they want you to ping the most - first page I went to and found it in about 3 sec.

Has any Cooler Crew member tried to organize a scavenger hunt?

Wasn't sure where to ask this question -

Anyone found any cool Easter Eggs in recent DVD releases?

http://www.dvdeastereggs.com/showTitles.php

Any Pixar DVD is LOADED with them. Cars and the Incredibles have some good ones.

Reminder:

My hunt will kick off on friday, May 9th at Obbs Bar at Mounds Park 7pm - 10 or so. The 1st clue will be realeased at 9pm. All other clues will be realeased at 8am daily until found.

I am asking for $5 registrations to go towards the total pot and I will kick in an extra $25. If the finder is not registered they will only receive 1/2 the pot. Any leftover money will be given to the winner of the next hunt that takes place.

You can send me a paypal to mrmnmikey@yahoo.com if you'd like or give me the money in person (preferred way) at Obbs bar on the 9th or anytime BEFORE the realease of the 5th clue on tuesday morning. Regular mail is an option also. Contact me if you need my adress.

I'm hoping to have at least 10 people in this for a pot of at least $75. (Hopefully more)

This is the first hunt I have done.
