No, I did skip class and smoke doobies - but I just hated any government that was run by fricken monkeys no matter what party they're from and wondered how I could change it. I gave up when I seen the age restriction. Then when 35 came and went I realized that it didn't even matter anymore.
any government classes I had, were taught by dudes who didnt really care....
one of them was a former drummer in a band and a bartender, who took breaks with kids to drink and smoke up - sometimes leaving in the middle of class to do so....
My social studies teacher was the favorite teacher at SSP at the time. People fought to get into his class. He was a member of the Office of Strategic Services during WWII and parachuted behind enemy lines because he spoke German. They had him practice his German with pebbles in his mouth to make it more authentic. He was awarded the Medal of Honor.
After the war he went on to the U of M where he became a captain of the football team and then was the coach for SSP.
I don't know anyone who has a bad thing to say about him.
I stole a cow off of the wall of SSP highschool, during a speech tournament in my junior year...
I still have it... its glued onto a folder that I used...
my category was "Humerous Interpretation"....
the speech I did was an interp. of the tortoise and the haire, where the rabbit was all overboard with sponsors and trying to get famous, and the turtle didnt do crap, except walk...
kool thanks!!! Wish I would have knowing I would have stopped over after work!!! I got off at 2am!!! I am thinking about calling in and using some of the PTO That I am getting form this job!!! lol to show up to the concert early!! lol
funny, I was just talking with some friends last night about passwords. If the password is 'password' than they deserve to get hacked!
just now I'm telling my coworker about a newspaper article I came across dated in 1912 about a girl who had survived the Titanic and just got back to St Paul where she was basically from- I thought this was extremely cool... she lived at 20 Avon St. (near Summit Ave - imagine that  ) as we are talking she mentioned that MHS just did a story on people from Minnesota that were on the Titanic OR were coming here that were on the Titanic... and at that moment she lifts her hand up and has this book in her hand about the Titanic, her brother had just dropped it by ad as we were talking she didn't even think about the book in her hand. How ironic is all that? WOW!
an interesting tidbit about the girl - she was abt 20 and talked about how a medium had told her that she would die by 21 or something like that. She didn't know anyone on the ship but was traveling with another family so she viewed this tragedy from a spectators eye. She mentions seeing a young man throughout the days prior and briefly made eye contact with him before getting on to a boat and never saw him again. sounds like a tragic love story similar to Titanic the movie it self. This was all in the Pioneer Press article dated days after the sinking in 1912.
On Wednesday one of the artists at work suggested that I try to become a licensed Harley Davidson Artist. So I did some digging and e-mailed one of them to find out whats involved he sent me an e-mail address so the wheels are turning.
Yea I only found one, but could have sworn you said 10 each. Specially since you said it was costing you $50. Thirty over the collections for the big prize and 10 each for the letters.
I didn't get around to calling you kat, sorry...was a rough kid day, we are coming down next weekend for his work x-mas party and got a hotel room, so I'm thinking when we pick the kid up on saturday I'll call you and set something up.
