crap, I was wrong...it's not this weekend it's next weekend :eyeroll: we have so many christmas parties to go to I'm getting confused, I hate this time of year, I just want to stay home with my kids and hubby for a change instead of running all over the damn place. I'll get ahold of you next weekend and try to figure something out.
ok, I was gonna post the link to what I thought was the information about Deal or No Deal coming to the Twin Cities for tryouts on Saturday Dec 8th...I thought it was cwtc.com but that is definately not correct.... so if anyone has heard about this than please post where and when. I really want to go. If I find details Im definately going.
its an open invitation but you can try to win a bracelet to get one of the first 5 spots in line ... you can enter as many times per day but have to use a different e-mail address with each entry
"You can enter as many times as youÂ’d like per day, but you must use a different email address each time. Our system kicks out duplicate email addresses."
I'm thinking we would have to get there about 3am and sit on the street in our cars. This would be a fun time to have a CoolerCrew mobile of some sorts or a Vulcan truck.
tonight on msnbc at 11? (maybe different time depending on timezone)
they are covering 'sex slaves in the US' - they were talking about it thismorning on the Today show - what caught my ear was when they mentioned it was happening in New York, San Franciso and St. Paul, Minnesota!!!!!
That isn't a great surprise. We don't see as many prostitutes along University and the surrounding neighborhood streets as we used to, but when the Faust and Flick and the Belmont were all on the corner of University and Dale, we know that the area was advertised across the country as the place to buy sex in the Twin Cities.
Finding condoms in the street, parking lots and the boulevard, as well as finding ladies panties in people's yards was common place. With the removal of those adult only entertainment venues and john sweeps, most of the blatant selling of sex has disappeared.
well sure rain on my party I thought that was still the place to go and they took all them places down when did they do that??? argggg!!!! :sheepish: :sheepish: :sheepish: :pbpt:
I was a manager for the Taco Johns on Western back in the 1980's.
many of my customers were 'johns' and prostitutes -
they never gave me a hard time - basically real people trying to get by and survive - I remember one woman had a pimp and another was 7 months preggers - I was never on the shifts that got robbed thank God! but I worked many closing shifts. Thats when we soaked the REAL beans overnight and ground them up -none of that 'just add water' to brown powder crap!!!! and the meat was real too, not processed with water in a bag like the beans...and we cut the tomatos ourselves.
They've been gone for years Iceduude. That area still creeps me out after dark though. I felt more comfortable before for some reason.
I wouldn't be caught at a Denny Hecker dealership.
I couldn't have said it better myself. The whole thing is probably nothing more than what they do when they say you can audition for Big Brother at the MOA only to find out they just tape you and send it in with everyone else. And with this you're stuck with DH knowing even one more piece of personal info on you.
No thanks!
Good luck to those of you who go for it. Pick #17 and you'll win every time.
Oh bleave me I know they have been closed down for a long time now lol I was just having some fun I use to live just down dale more or less!!! I was off Western and Front!!! so it was just down the road and we always went right down there!!!
I registered. If I get one, I'll just give it to someone else.
I know those reality tv shows, I'm not enough of a "character" to be selected. If you ask me, it's discrimination. But then, they have packs of lawyers that'll refute anything and everything the common man says anyway, so arguing it is pointless.
thanks everyone for the birthday wishes - it was just a wonderful day all around.
ooooh Neil :sheepish: mmmmmmmmmmmmm
as far as that traffic last night - WoW!! it took me 20 minutes to drive from the Landmark Center to the Wabasha bridge!!!!
I was amazed at the traffic last night! However, I must say that I enjoyed looking at all the headlights from one direction and all the red taillights from the other.
There was no one in Rosedale last night. I even commented to a cashier that I couldn't believe that exactly 3 weeks before Christmas and we were the only ones in the store!!!! didn't have to wait in any line when trying on clothes or at the check outs at all!!!
The post in Kitches thread about the MOA Santa reminded me of what happened when we went and saw him with our grandkids this last thanksgiving weekend. The kids were all ready to go when we said we were going and as soon as we got there they started screaming! They never did go up to him. I thought it was funny how hyped they were untill they actually got there.

Your Birthday Wish has been granted.
You will need the resolution set to at least 1024x768 to get the whole effect.
