I think it rules out LINWOOD also - cause of the direct reference to "Pleasant." Yes - I'll be in denial about NEWELL until CLUE #8. Start looking at other parks - instead of NEWELL AND LINWOOD AND SWEDE HOLLOW!!

If its at Newell, then its probably not at Highland or Mounds.

As far as Newell is concerned - It is between Wheeler St & Fairview at "Taylor Ave" (If you can make the right measure). Gosh, I wish I had a car.

I actually did not dig at Newell last year-Merriam and Conway- but I think Newell does have an old merry-go-round..anyone else recall? Wheeler does make sense and it would be psychological warfare on PP's part to put it there this year!

For reference sake, I believe there might be a spinning thing on the playground, if you want to get literal about it.

is everyone dead or what?!?!give us something to work with people!

Pleasant is not the opposite of foul or cloudy. Fair is. Presumably they meant the park was near the fair. But a pleasant scene could be a fair view.

I'm disappointed. Trees in a line took the better part of a day to figure out. This took about 10 seconds.

A pleasant scene and a turning machine Might help you court our treasure It's there somewhere in between If you can make the right measure

well lets see its between a pleasant seen and a turning machine, you have to look north to see the towers, um what else

Sat, 01/29/2000 - 12:39 AM Permalink
Beth Rutherford

You can see the spinning tower at the fairgrounds from Merriam. Any thoughts on that park

Marc, frogbait, either use the blue number of the post you're on to update or at least clear out the text box if you're going to hit refresh so we don't keep seeing the same message over and over.

I would go out but I have a headache and too tired. Chased too many other leads. Should have stayed at Newell when I was there a after the third clue, but it seemed too easy.

A wheel is a machine. One of the six simple machines all others are based on.

I'm sorry, I was just thinking of Taylor as in a tailor - one who would measure clothes to fit, etc. That is where I got that thought. Probably wrong, but this is pretty much my 1st time doing this.

Fairview is the Western border, Wheeler is the eastern border, and NEWELL lies in between
