Here are some of the meanings of court, very interesting.

An extent of open ground partially or completely enclosed by walls or buildings; a courtyard. A short street, especially a wide alley walled by buildings on three sides. A large open section of a building, often with a glass roof or skylight. A large building, such as a mansion, standing in a courtyard.

Conway wasn't really a madhouse until clue 9 or so last year. Newell will be one as of now. If they reveal the park so early, does that mean they have it hidden so well that they expect it will possibly take hundreds of people 6 days of constant searching to find it?

court can also mean-An open, level area marked with appropriate lines, upon which a game, such as tennis, handball, or basketball, is played. The body of directors of an organization, especially of a corporation. A legislative assembly.

if it is newell i think it will be found by morning or tomorrow at least when we were there last year it didn't seem to be very big. it shouldn't take that long to find it.

That's right Allison - that's why I'm holding back. Although everything's pointing to NP - it just seems too easy. Then again because we have a lot of NEWELL PARKITES on-line, We've fallin for NP for a few years. COULD THIS FINALLY BE THE YEAR?

the only thing I can pull from 2 is ace=tennis, and maybe the rest refers to what it's hidden in???

How about Clue 6? (in reference to NP)

would they give out $10,000.00 in such a short amount of time?

IN YEARS PAST TERES ALWAYS BEEN PART OF OR A WHOLE CLUE THAT HAS THROWN PEOPLE FOR A LOOP. WHY NOT #2?

Lets face it - their in the business of sellin newspapers - they're going to stretch this out as long as possible. Especially with $10K on the line. Didn't some-one say earlier that they actually don't hide the treasure until after the first few clues are published?

Hi- I am on my way to Newell- try any other park- nothing at this point works as well... keep the fire burnin! The kids are comin- sleep deprivation- it is a beautiful thing! Bob- get the heck away from Mounds! Stay away from Jeff and Pie- they just don;t get the fun!

If you want to say its not at Newell, then you'll have to explain how the clues don't fit there, or fit somewhere better. My best guess was Iris, but even that is on the wrong side of Fairview.

Ok THis is what i like about CLUE #6!!! It says well-trained eye and stay out for the hunt or somethin like that, and well last year they had us completely fooled with the as well as the new thing. besides there is no such word as well-trained in the dictionary with the - in it. Its telling you to stay with Newell this time. if you mix the letters up it spells out Triad Newell=Try at Newell!!

don't know if i believe that, you would think that they would have to have it hidden prior to the start, before all the snow..... but then again maybe not..... and someone has to be watching it, to know when it is found..

Marc - your thought w/ foul meaning as in baseball is great! Now that is one that makes sense.

But Palace Rec Center would be in "Boreas direction" tho, wouldn't it? and there is Palace Avenue & Pleasant Ice Arena is not far from there according to the THG (Treas. Hunt. Guide) - as well as Spanky's Bar(rapscallion??) and near some schools which would would make sense "a lesson you need to apply" and "read this well".

Er, Rob, even if you're right, what does that change? It seems to me well-trained eye means one that is good at seeing trains, like the ones across Pierce Butler. Those were the "right tracks"

(First of all, don't confuse me with the imitation "stone cold" out there.)

Rob's Way, I think you nailed #6 on the button. Last year there was a clue for iconoclast. The clue WAS INTENDED to tell people to go to a park its never been to before. The 'stays on the attack' bit is a reminder for all of us who got suckered to Newell last year to stay there.

    Vikings depression = Warner?

First of all I JOKED about that one 4 nights ago. Second, if they wanted to refer to Kurt Warner, they wouldn't use Viking 'depression'. They would use something a little more meaningful. And finally, and most importantly, they are NOT going to point to a specific street in clue #1

The sad story is the clue writer is just not as clever as we want to believe they are. Its really only from our own imaginations that all these ingenious machinations come from. In the end though, clue 1 probably just means its in a park, and not on a golf course. Clue 2 might just mean the park has tennis courts. Clue 3, you can see two towers and the medallion is on the north side of the park (my take on it. After all they split Conway last year by saying to stay away from the sledding action). Clue 4 refers to the two picnic shelters (which really really gave it away, should have done more research to see how many parks actually had multiple shelters). Clue 5 was probably to say its near the State Fair. Clue 6 is probably just to suggest that train tracks are near. Somewhere in there you might find a hint of what it is hidden in, but it doesn't matter. Examine everything you find and after you find it, then figure out how the clue applied to it.
