Our daughter is back in Minnesota as of 4:00 this afternoon. She had me out this evening while she shopped. At least we got to spend some time together and had a few good laughs.
So now she's borrowed my car and promises to have it back by the time I go to work tomorrow.

I've been at work since 2:30pm on my own. Boss is out in Maine, and hasn't been bugging me overly much, it's been quiet on the phones, so I turned some Christmas music on (Charlie Brown Christmas) and sitting around surfing the net, trying to get some last minute Christmas gift ideas.
It's about time I had a little peace and quiet around this place.

Heh, I feel like I'm here that often sometimes. Amazingly I got Monday off. Maybe I ought to just show up anyways, it's quiet here, as opposed to the usual holiday busy-ness.

But last night I got told that I look like I can fight and that He didnt want to fight me because he didnt want to get hurt!!!
But Then he asked some other dude if he wanted to fight and it turned in to a back yard HARDCORE match!! it was fun all I hear is thumb tacks and then they started raining Down the stairs!! it was funny!! the one dud was sitcking in the other dudes HEAD!! and shit! the dude getting them stuck in his head was the one who didnt want to fight me because of getting hurt!!!
I dont care what he says He wanted to fight me But I am pas the faze in my life back in the day you would have said something like that to me I would have kick the snot out of you!!

saw about 5 flipped cars/trucks, tanker truck in a ditch after it rear ended somebody...people laying in ditches after flipped car accident...tons of ambulances..not good...scary stuff..
Wow, Kitch! Glad you made it home safe and sound. My daughter who lives in Zumbrota was going to drive up today to help me with Christmas plans but thank God she changed her mind.
She has to study for the NCLEX now... So some "we time" is soon on the horizon. :grin: We did get in a little Trans-Siberian Orchestra date the other day... was fun :smile:
Things I really enjoy...seeing that after I marked all read a couple weeks back that the "things I really enjoy" folder has double the posts than "what irritates me" I'm gald you all enjoy life more than complain about it!
Also, I didn't get a lot of stuff this year, just consumable items. My family thinks I gave them too much and that I didn't get enough, but I assured them I'm 100% content and happy with what I got. I don't think they bought it though, but it's the truth.
I'm glad I got them stuff they'll enjoy having (sewing machine for my mom, and some wolfgang puck pans for my brother). I told them they can use their gifts to make me stuff if they like. Like I'll be bringing my pants over for my mom to hem up, and I'm hoping my brother can make an edible meal or two when I visit.
Walking the dog this Christmas evening while the streets were empty, the snow was falling and the houses lit up with the glow of Christmas lights and fireplaces.
enjoy: 1) Taking someone I care a lot about to the airport last minute cause otherwise they would have missed thier flight cause his original one got canceled and wouldn't have gotten to see his family for the holidays.
2) The silence and peace and quietness of last night for me.
3) today on the beach in the city. It was 70ish and I was walking in the sand barefoot, without a coat
4) seafood, all of it, and ordering only appetizers, dessert and cocktails with friends for dinner tonight and having everything be fablous - especially the ahi tuna and fog harbor oysters.
I ended up going to joanne fabrics. The lady there was very helpful, and they have this policy if you want to upgrade your machine within 12 months of it's purchase, they'll take it back and give you 100% of the purchase price towards another machine. Oh, and I got a Husqvarna, who can beat a company that makes both chainsaws and sewing machines?
:snickering: thinking that when mom winds that machine up tight it will start the sound effects of a chainsaw... put a smile on my face, and hey i am pretty easy to entertain...
Yeah they'll do repairs. I don't know what labor costs they charge though. If you go to the one byt the Maplewood mall, ask for a lady named Bonny in the sewing machine area. She was really knowledgeable and a nice person to talk to.

As bad as the roads were yesterday morning going west, I'm glad we were driving yesterday and not today.
