Oh i got ya, why did you ask for the rock anyways? Ok we got this baby down, pleasant scene=fairview, turning machine = wheeler, look north for the towers? or is the medallion supposed to be to the north? Allison just curious but what are the towers at newell?

still believe pleasant is the opposite of cloudy and fair... but cant figure out how pleasant fits newell... i understand the pleasant scene could be fair view but all that seems to fit too easy

A well-trained eye could mean Pig's Eye (only 1 eye). "If you want to be on the right track" - in Pig's Eye there are 2 RR's (CMSP P RR & Burlington Northern and you would have to pick the right one.

I didn't ask, someone else did. I just witnessed it, or maybe I slogged through it. I think the towers are the broadcast towers and the smokestack, even though they are to the west. When it said look (north?) it didn;t say specifically to look for the towers. It could have meant look for the medallion in the north, which is where the shelters and basketball court are anyway, not to mention its on the opposite side of the park from where it was last time.

Ah.

Well, may as well spill my thoughts.

First of all, the ground Phalen Park's on was purchased in 1899 ('99) for $22,000 (2000).

#1 has "profitable profession" - "pp" (Phalen Park) and rapscallion, which I was SURE referred to Phalen himself.

#2 Phalen has the Boreas' race, car races and the Mater XCS race: "Set your own pace and it could make you an ace." Also has "chase" and you chase in races...

#3 There are two red lighted towers to the north of Phalen.

#4 "Some places to gain relief from the rain will serve - read this well - you cooking." Both the beach house and the picnic pavillion serve food.

#5 Not only is Clear Avenue opposite Phalen, but ittiz an antonym for both cloudy and foul.

#6 On the east side of Phalen is an old train bed. Can be seen clearly from the the west side of the park.

Oh, well. There's always next year! :)

I like your thoughts Green, but doesn't that give to much away just in the first clue?

Sat, 01/29/2000 - 1:34 AM Permalink

Could foul refer to the ducks and geese, like at Phalen?

On the bright side, the media may not expect a frenzy yet and may not advertise to everyone where it is.

Hey Green -

I grew up right near Phalen and you're right. That's what I was talking about - NEWELL may be dodge - a diversion. If Allison can figure it out after Clue #4 then it can't be there. After clue #8 the peices really start to narrow down the park. That's good stuff on Phalen - I'll do some noodlin'

I think someone does moderate it, but not sure if its all the time. Someone a few days ago was posting all kinds of advertisements and someone else was deleting them about as fast as he could post them.
