If it's at Newell and it's found before I even show up there, then that indeed is poetic justice from last year. I would never step foot in that park or even mention its name ever again!
That's the problem Kitchica Boo. You finally figure out the park, you rush over there, and then suddenly you get overwhelmed with this feeling of "Now what?" as you survey a vast expanse of snow.
That was our first year. We had no idea it was hidden in the middle of nowhere. We were the dingalings looking through the trash and digging around the benches and trees.
At this point you have two options. You can either believe the cluewriter is an incredibly devious genius to make us all think its at Newell when its not, or you can believe they're not particularly clever. After reading the explanations for last year's clues, which do you think is more likely?
Here's my problem with Mounds though: No mention of water yet. That doesn't rule it out, but there's always been mention of water if the park was near water.
Yeah, you're write Allison. I think it's time to look back at yesteryear and get a feel for how those clues worked. After you've been noodlin' them for to long you need to go back and get your mind on the right track again . . .
It is the Cafejians's Carousel <cafe-jians> "will serve to help you as your looking" or "a clue that will really get you cooking' - not a bad try - also I am sure the Carousel itself would be off limits but somewhere between that and the gardens? perhaps.
Yea, what was with using the word well over and over again when the thing was in Newell. Didn't they realize it would get people thinking of that park? I guess they didn't.
Well, it's been a long and eventfull night, but i gotta get up and get my medallion tommorow! Have no idea where they hid that thing, but what I do know is this:
Conway still looks the best to me. They could do that for a 1st time, couldn't they - 2 yrs in a row? That would fool EVERYBODY on this millenium year. It would be so easy that it would be too difficult to see.
I mean if you're right, you have it all to yourself, but if you really want to invest time in digging, I think you have to look for the strongest argument.
I also just got back from Newell. We dug and talked but really had no idea where to start - so we just started. Anyway, was there last night at the same time and what a difference - the place is dug up. Also, I was at Newell on Wednesday and still don't want to believe its there. I much prefer some of the other places I thought of like Iris and Dunning.
The year it was at Harriet, we had it figured out by the 4th or 5th clue, but we had no idea where to dig, and we kept doubting ourselves.
The wheel, the inclined plane, and the lever are considered the three simple machines, and a wheel does spin.
What about Como, near the Carousel?

It was just at como three years ago, and they have the gaint slide there. You know how people are, they would dig it up.
COMO NOT ACHANCE ITS BEEN THERE TO MUCH. THERE THROWING US ALL A CURVEBALL.
No earmuffs for Terry, no Newell for Stallion. Got it.
MedallionStallion....I have never given up on mounds

Green, that's kinda what I was thinking, but I thought the carousel was off limits
what about the pleasant scene you would see looking out the carousel restaurant windows lol

Maybe one of the well references means a water well.
I'm never overestimating the abilities of the cluewriter again!

#1: In a St. Paul Park
#2: Jogging...Tennis...
#3: Two towers...very visible at MP when you look towards DT
#4: Picnic Shelters and Grills are aplenty at MP
#5: Opposites Attract...Paths combinde for Peds and Bikes...Light tower beacon directs planes in bad weather
#6: Turning Machine=Light Tower...Beautiful Scene=View from bluff...Courts=Tennis Courts...Inbetween Light Beacon and Tennis Courts
Why is this wrong???
Well, it's been a long and eventfull night, but i gotta get up and get my medallion tommorow! Have no idea where they hid that thing, but what I do know is this:
They named the darned thing after me!!!!
g'night everyone! LOL!
The Carousel is at COMO and indoors...when did we get back to Como?
Am I alone in here???
Peds and Bikes are opposites?
Yet they share the same path...marked with a sign
=Oposites Attract!...to the same path

Those are just my thoughts
The hour is late and it's time to retire for tomorrow it is the treasure I seek and it's fourtunes I desire!
Conway looks better than Newell? And you think those interpretations of Mounds is better then the ones for Newell?
No it did not
The opposite of cloudy is sunny, which could be a reference to Sun Ray.
Good night

Sorry Cosmo, still nothing.
damn damn damn well hell go to this link and see it... its either in A or B sections of the park... http://www.geocities.com/soho/coffeehouse/1661/newell.gif
Nichevo as the Russians would say (nothing)
There's a good map of it in the Treasure Hunter's Guide, but that would be copyright infringement to publish here I suspect.
Well, I have a digging date of sorts tomorrow morning if it isn't too late, so I should get to bed.
I've been to Newell
Saw Terry, Bob, Bob E. Mom, Dad, Eags
but I suspect we were in the wrong area. My son got tired and cold, and he heas to bowl in a few hours, so we left.
If you're going there, and you have some scrap wood, it would be nice for the fire.
sure, i slog for an hour, and everyone's gone.
I also just got back from Newell. We dug and talked but really had no idea where to start - so we just started. King- I slogged for the last 30 min too.
Where were you? My son and I were midway between the play ground and the basketball court.
We were around there too. Then we just went to the fire.
I am off to sleep.
sweet dreams
