Remember, it is just a one day (24 hour) hunt. If by sponsor a team, you mean pay the whole fee, I'm sure you could get people to join you. And as for those who can't officially be on a team for some reason, you can still help a team out if you think it's worth it to you, but you wouldn't get a trophy or an invitation to the Winner's Ball.
If you have people that want to share the work but not the glory. I really have no way of controlling where you get your information from. All I can do is say I'm only going to reward 5 people.
I know it's technically 24 hours, but do you have an idea of how long this will take the winning team? Or at least did you design it to last a certain length of time? Or is this a secret?
Unfortunately, because this is the first time for this hunt, I really don't know. What I do know is that not all of the locations you'll need to visit are accessible 24 hours a day. Consequently I don't think anyone can finish before 9am. It's possible though a team could maybe solve all the puzzles in a few hours, hit all the locations they can by maybe 1am, get some sleep, hit the last few locations in the early morning and be done before lunch. I believe some of the puzzles are hard enough that it won't quite work out that way, but it might. More than anything it will come down to how fast your team can do the puzzles.
Well in theory you should need to physically visit all of them, though if there was ever a group that could get away with finding the needed information without visiting the place, I'm sure this would be the one!
Of course even if you don't win, you'll still get to solve some neat puzzles, visit some interesting places, and as long as you finish, come hang out at the Winner's Ball.
I'm just offering help for the puzzles because I find it interesting, and because I can't fully participate due to other plans. Besides, I have no interest in trophies or glory or bragging rights, let others have it.
And as for that red herring cache, it's bugging me just as much as other cachers, so I'm taking a break from it, heh. Besides, I'll need to focus my energy on the hunt.

Ah Hello.. We've never been in the closet thank you very much. In fact, we've been in the wide open mountain valleys skipping and frolicking like no tomorrow. He had me at his hat.
I've got three teams confirmed outside of the Cooler Crew. And then I have Red Bear's team and Barefootguy's team confirmed. And then I think there are two other teams, Jake's team, and not Jake's team, but I'm kind of fuzzy yet on who is on which. I've had a few other people outside the Cooler Crew talk to me about having teams, but I'm not confident at this point that they will pull it together.
