Hello to the friends of Cousin David, whose e-mail addresses I posess. I join you in missing "Santa Dave" this year.
I know that the Medalian Hunters will miss his presence during the Winter Festivies in St. Paul. I believe that Dave has joined the other Santas who have completed their earthly rounds, and have gone to their final residence at the North Pole. We have all stashed Dave in our hearts, however we do miss his earthly presence. I am visiting my daughter and her family in Germany where they are stationed with the USAF. I will return to FL on the 5th of Jan.
I was at the Rosetown legion hall and was talking to someone about there hunt they are doing and I brought up the fact that I am a cooler crew and some laid said she was sad to hear about our friend that passed away she said I think his name was Santa Dave!! I started to cry!!
she said when she read about it in the paper she thought that we where just the greatest people to bring the med. down and give it to him!! and she said she has a new love for our paper lol!! because they had the heart to do some thing like that!!! :sad:
That song brings back a lot of memories for me. I learned to play it on my guitar a long time ago. Thanks for the reminder, I'll have to play it again now.
