Gee, I wonder where you think it's hidden this year  Seriously though, Obbs is fine by me. I remember that we ran into a problem with them closing early last year though.

I got an e-mail just a bit ago from Stanley Kasal, Santa Dave's friend.

He stated he was planning to be at McGovern's around 10PM.

I called his cell phone, no answer and no voice mail, but I e-mailed him the info about Matty B's, including website, phone, parking.

If anyone has another way to contact him, I'm sure he'd appreciate voice contact about the change of venue, in case he doesn't check his e-mail before he goes to McG's.

Thanks!

Hello all!! I'm thinking I've got sparklies! Only one clue out and it's a goodie.....I like the way it's written, sure hope it's a sign that we've got more well-written clues than recent years!

Can't wait to see y'all tonight!

I'm at home, I had to study, but I'm not getting much done. I have to learn in a hurry to leave the clues alone... But I have such good ideas

Looks like we're holding down the fort here, eh, Brasscat? What are you studying?
Sat, 01/19/2008 - 6:53 PM Permalink
brasscat

College Math, Economics (micro), Computer Systems 2, and Management

I decided 2 go back 2 College at 50... by brain isn't as fast as it

used to be to retain what I read and study.

R U still there eags?

Still here, but "to and fro" doing stuff.

Sounds like ambitious subjects to study!

I've heard it said that as we get older, it takes longer to learn, but it "sticks" better.

I'd love to go back to school someday. I love to learn. Probably will just audit classes when I retire, though.

I'm here.

Regarding returning to school, when my daughter was enrolled at St. Kate's, they allowed parents to attend free of charge. I was a part-time student the first year and full-time her second year. I actually did pretty well, but I'll admit my study habits sucked. I was about 50 at the time also.

I'm 54. Went to nursing school from ages 27-30. I don't know that there is a degree I'm hankerin' after - just love to learn. Lately I've been taking classes on different kinds of alternative healing. I also enjoy the Virtual University classes, but haven't done one in awhile.

Last year's clue was "on the level" right?
Sat, 01/19/2008 - 7:46 PM Permalink
brasscat

yes, And no one will ever be able to convince me that that wasn't a clue.

Am I imagining it, or are these posts out of order? Looks like there is a reply to the post about alternative healing, but its before the post *about* alternative healing.

Also, I replied to your post, Brasscat, about the off the level clue, and then your post doesn't say that at all anymore!

That's because I started to say something about Clue number 1 this year and....

I couldn't remember who did not want to know about the clue till later tonight.

So ... in case it was you I deleted it.

I don't want to ruin anything for anyone.

I'll be back in a half hour.

I took sociology and theology classes mainly, and a couple of journalism classes because I was working at a newspaper at the time. I took enough classes to finish my degree from the U of M, but never actually went through the process.

Good Evening!

The Pre Dig was a great success and so much fun to see people again.

Matty B's was super! They took good care of us. L'ilman did some DJ stuff and that was still going on when we left.

Stanley did make it and it was so wonderful to see him again. As usual, some came early and left early, others came later and were still there. Regman even showed up this year - his first Predig Gig!

I was hoping to see Wright Winger. I wonder what he's up to these days. I miss him.

And it was funny reading these posts out of order. Made me wonder what had been put in my Coke. LOL!!

I was hoping to see a few others. Allison had a birthday gathering and I thought he would come after that event, but we didn't see him. Green wasn't feeling well so we missed her.

A co-worker from the new job had thought he'd make it, but didn't.

Rush Harley was there with a group. That was fun seeing him.

Jake was there selling the DVDs. I think he had about 75 of them sold just tonight.

The new Cooler Crew buttons were hot items as well. And they are super. Mom came up with the design. The center of it has the Medallion Club from the 1999 buttons...the year (2008) and "Treasuring Our History - You Dig?" at the bottom.

What a nice tribute for the 10th annual Predig Gig.

Map Guy has more books to sell this year and he brought some with him tonight.

So many others. So much fun to see everyone. Just wish we had more opportunity to truly visit.

We need to get back into doing some Shooting the Breeze - Live! stuff again.

Terry, you beat us home! Took a little bit to wake Hannah at Dad's dad's place. Seems the sleepover she went to last night caught up with her.

I thought that Matty B's was a much nicer environment that McGovern's ever was. Though I do wish the music was not quite so loud. It's fun to have the music, but just too hard to have a conversation.

Terry

This is fun! Spend the evening together and then get back online when we get home. LOL!!

I thought the mix of music was nice. At that place out in Fridley for the end of Allison's hunt last week, that DJ was playing things MUCH louder and wasn't the kind of music we were hearing tonight.

Just got back from the PDG. What a fun time. I was at Joe and Stan's singing Karoake for the first part of the night, but finished things off at Matty B's. Good times had by all. I couldn't persuade my ride to stop at White Castle's but I am warming up a frozen pizza now so I am good to go. Please let me know where people are going to be tomorrow night.

I'm up in front of my SAD lite drinking coffee and waking up to get ready for work. Wish I could have been there last nite but... I just didn't feel up to it. It didn't even sound fun by the time I got home yesterday afternoon. Coughed most of the nite and am stopped up and had eye boogers. I doubt ittiz a cold as my nose isn't running, so I bet a sinus infection. I wish I could just go bock to bed.

I think Regal runt = the medallion is regal, and it's a new young medallion thus making it a runt. possible in a runt candy box.

to prove that searching does pay = means you get $$

The rest of the clue says don't destroy and stay of any types of golf courses! Traditional golf or Disc Golf is in the park.

Next Line = Jake took home the $$

Next Line = Brassmonkey solved the Hidden Super Clue and possible level this year means something again

Next Line= We washed our hands, covered our tracks and possible a hidden message here

Last line = either rhymes with level or the snackwells Devil food little cakes

This is my take on this clue.
